Hmm interesting...

Looks like some sort of waffle pattern rubber. Reminds me of the non-pneumatic tires they put on those Chinese rental bikes that were clogging the sidewalks around here a couple years ago (but which seem to have disappeared entirely). I expect these would play more like pips out than like inverted - less surface area in contact with the ball.

Unfortunately, only the red/yellow one seems to be in stock at the moment. Might these be for TTX? Double Fish is hardly a fly-by-night operation..

They look very similar to the outdoor rackets I have tried (Stiga and Cornilleau).

Those play mostly like inverted, and are surprisingly good (better than most cheap premades). They cost perhaps twice as much as the school bats they use here, but would outlast them 5 times or so, I guess. They are not damaged by rain and have good tolerance to UV. The grip is even decent when it rains, probably because the dimples allow the water to escape at the contact point.

I recommend it to all schools where thay have outdoor tables (strangely, most schools around here have a few tables outside). It seems that none have taken my advice.

+1 Keme. I have a Cornilleau Tacteo30 bat. Chops like a dream and plays a bit like both inverted and pips. Great fun to play with. Good quality & very durable. Love it.

Cool looking blade....

The double-fish too, looks pretty cool ...

This is the first-time I'm seeing these molded bats .... I would've probably bought one, just for the novelty, had it been under $8 ....

Maybe that's with the packaging? Maybe get a pair of these and some of those DHS "outdoor" balls...

Mine is more a novelty. Very comfortable to use and play with occasionally for some more fun. Though it may appear to be heavy, it is not; and this is coming from someone who prefers light setups. I can use it quite effectively too. Love it and very glad to own one of these
