Hey, I have just completed building a table with my dad and we ordered some lower end rackets from megaspin...the yasaka sting, yasaka magnum, and a donic waldner 400. I had recently before that, bought a 20 dollar sportcraft one at Dick's before i knew we were going to order some nicer stuff. But anyways, i am getting better now and starting to hit fast forehands, some of my shots get down and hit the table, but some go long. I do know how to hit the ball right to generate spin, but my question is, do better rackets really increase spin a lot, or is it mostly technique. I was looking last night on megaspin at maybe buying a blade and rubber, i pretty much looked for cheaper stuff to start out with: http://www.megaspin.net/store/default.a ... r-729-bomb

and: http://www.megaspin.net/store/default.a ... 29-focus-1

How does that combination look? Reccomend anything else?

Or should i just go with something like the donic waldner 800, or somewhere around that pricerange prebuilt.

Thanks

Yes. Pay the $$ and you can get more spin than you know how to control. Spin is your worst enemy and your best friend.

Price might be 2-3 times of those cheap one but it's at least 5 times better.

Yea, I think I may now go with the same blade, but paired with 729 cream, or geospin tacky.

Either of those rubbers would be a big upgrade for not too much money. You could also get LKT Pro, Palio CJ8000 or 999T with a custom sponge and those would be a bit more flexible and faster than the above.

You can also get these rubbers and blades from http://www.colestt.net or http://www.zeropong.com all are reliable companies.

Yea, I have been looking around at zeropong and colestt. But, I chose megaspin because we already have an account, and they have great customer service, along with fast shipping. They will also assemble the materials for free. I think I am going to get the geospin tacky with the friendship bomb. I would go with the cream but megaspin doesnt carry it. But colestt and zeropong have combo prices and include cases or something right?

The Bomb and Geospin Tacky combo should work fine, or try Geospin Tacky black and regular Geospin red. Megaspin is a fine retailer.

I haven't tried the Matrix, but the Inspirit rubber is good. A teammate uses it on his forehand. Don't get it too thick if you're used to pre-made paddles, less than 2.0.

The Bomb blade has a fairly small handle, so if your hand is big the Matrix might be better.

How short is the handle because i would like to order from megaspin and that is the only blade i would like in my pricerange? Is there a way in making it longer? Also, if i hit many balls off the table with my forehand now, with this blade make it worse compared to something like an instinct, but the paddle i have now would not generate nearly as much spin as i would with the geospin tacky and the bomb.

Well, I just ordered a Friendship 729 Li Kuang Tsu Black Whirlwind blade with Geospin tacky 2.0 on both sides. I changed to this blade because i did not want the bomb to be to fast and hit long balls off the table. What do you guys think?

I've only used the Bomb in penhold, the handle is narrow but not short.

If you're hitting balls off the table a slower blade is prefereable, like the Instinct. I haven't tried the Whirlwind myself.

Blade: Trinity Carbon

The black ww is quite slow but has very good feel. It's probably similar speed to the instinct, perhaps even slower.
