so i have been searching for a good formula for speed glue..

i really don't want to buy the brand name stuff because i am a tweaker of sorts..

so i have this raw ingredients..

1. Best Test Rubber Cement.. (white rubber premium)
2. Bestine Heptane thinner
3. Toulene
4. Lighter Fluid

but what is the mix percentage?

and what is legal now too? anyways.. i put some of it together, Rubber cement and heptane and toulene.. 2:1:1 in the same order i just stated..

and i got a good thin mix, but basically it just made the rubber softer not faster.. good click sound, great spin, but speed was lacking..

didn't put lighter fluid into it for i don't know what it really does..

anybody willing to help me out on their solution?

thanks

I'm not really good at it.
This's what I do. Tried several methods too. this works best FOR ME.
Glue rubber.....then pour lighter fluid on top of speed glue. leave it 5-10 mins and it's good to go. Huge dome, super soft sponge that allow me to hit hard without sending the ball to Mars.

BTW. I use lighter fluid twice with every barnd new rubber then start priming rubber.

Dangerous stuff to play with, take great care!

I think the Toulene is most dangerous and not legal. You only need enough rubber cement to make it stick. The Heptane is probalby the biggest component.

What's missing is the d-limonine... this makes it spinnner and longer lasting.

I got some as an air freshener called "Orange Power" from the supermarket.

Certainly adds some speed and lasts for quite a while.

Also gives you much better smelling rubber. :D

Orange Power is a miracle liquid. So many uses for it.

My formula for home made illegal and extremely hazardous glue.

1 part x Artist Cement
5 part x Methylated Spirits / Turpentine

Extremely fast and huge dome with huge stink.

for normal glue

3 parts Artist Cement 1 part water and 0.5 part turpentine to thin it out.

Just curious how long your glue effect lasts with your special formula?

I might make a trip down to Bunnings and pick up the igredients.

Trouble with turps is it makes it hard to stick, and takes much longer to dry... the there's the smell... meth I'm not sure if it's good for the rubber...

Good point. Don't you use Turp's to remove glue build up?

Um....I would say about 4-5 hrs, depending on the sponge. If you have a soft japanese sponge. 5ish hours. If its the rock hard chinese sponges, then maybe only around 2ish hrs
