Just wondering how this announcement will change people's habit at this moment in time?

Personally since the timing of the announcement seems just plain stupid, I will not change my habits till I'm ready.... Interesting that at the club last night, no-one was even aware of the announcement!

I gave up gluing everytime before play a few weeks ago although I still use it to soften and condition new rubbers when I first have them. I currently have plenty of glue to do this years into the future as I don't expect to use anywhere near as many rubbers as I have when gluing regularly.
This technique will be illegal I am sure when testing begins, but will the Enez be able to detect this weeks or months after? I suppose I will only really know after I am tested for the first time.
A bigger loss for me will be spinmax.

Spinmax is NOT yet banned, the current ban applies ONLY to glues. I confirmed that with the manufacturer of spinmax a few days ago (he lives here in Adelaide). It might be just a matter of time till spinmax is banned though.

I won't.
I'll buy 10 gallons of glue in 2008, I bet it's super cheap when the deadline is getting closer and closer.

I gave up speed glueing a long time ago. It hurt my pocket.

I was never thinking of gluing . Better, I was buying fast and spinny equipment - I saw this as a good alternative (and cheaper) to the speed-glue.

There's more to speedglue than fast and spinny. I reckon it's more about the touch.

Hmmm yes I agree... Once you've had a bit of a try, it's hard to give up the feeling!

I've learned to let go of speed glue and play the game for what it is. I use to be a glue addict where I would have to glue the banana's out of the rubbers before I would even consider stepping in the table. Now its a different story and I know better.

I do admit that speed glued rubbers feel absolutely awesome when glued right. Its hard to let go, but I had to as the cost isn't cheap.

At the moment my super primed Chinese rubbers on a U-4 is more than enough for me. If I wanted more speed I could simply speed my blade up a little.

I want to stop asap, but what will I do with my 500 ml of energy glue left?

The extra 'touch' I get from glue is nice, but its probably nothing that a little extra training wouldn't make up for at my level.

Gluing is a pain logistically too. I'm glad to get rid of it in that regard.

The ordinary glue (like Victory , Basic Chack) will be forbidden too?

Yes Speedplay is right, although once the VOCs evaporate it will be perfectly legal... we're just not sure how long this takes...

The ITTF is really only targetting the speed glue... the normal glues are collateral damage

Interestingly enough, 7 manufacturers submitted their glue for approval under the new 'speed-glue' ban and only 4 passed.
