Shame.... because short pips on the backhand is the true way to go!

And also because only by reading short pips forum will people understand the problems and weaknesses we short pips users have. I read the LP and anti sections not to learn how to use them but to see if I can pick up tips on what they are good at (so avoid feeding when I play these types of players) and what they can struggle with (so I can take advantage of)

Equipment thread is excellent Reb, and yes you've put a lot of work in to it. Even better when people share the work and help out.

I agree with Debater to a certain extent. Likewise, my innnocent intention of browsing the pips section initialy is to learn their ways and hopefully learn how to put roadblocks on their way :P But the more I read, the more I feel the need to try their way and now, I am on the way, if you know what I mean    There is only one way left that I have not tried and that is ANTI. I will reserve that for the day when I become bored with the current ways I am playing :eye:

Cheers.

Just did the 802-40 review -- we could make it better, though. It's hard to review something like Sriver for short pips, haha!

Should we revise the link to point to the review, or make a separate thread for just the review?

Don't get me wrong guys, I do at times read the anti and SP sections, but I just don't get the same enjoyment from it generally as I do from the other sections. I have the utmost respect for guys like agooding2 and baal who are masters with SP and write some really good stuff, but I just don't relate to it as well. And there is only so much you can read for the benefit of playing against SP, especially when their are so few of them I do actually play against. I have actually triied 802-40 and Pluto myself. Could not feel Pluto and I would ever really get along but I don't mind 802-40. Just not nearly as much as my LPs.

Yuz, just post the link here to go into the index as I think discussion in a thread around a rubber helps know more about the rubber than just the review alone.

Antipip has kindly offered to take over this section from Reb, as highlighted in the first post of this section.

It will take some time for him to catch up (has not been updated since may 09), but it's a great resource and well worth keeping up to date!

If you'd like to help, I'm sure antipip could use you :?: , or else if you come across new reviews that have not been included in this index, please post them here, or PM antipip.

Cheers!

Vinnie / all: If you find any reviews not in the index please post in this section or pm me the link and in due course, i'll add it to the review index.

I'm currently searching the forum and trying to pinpoint reviews which I'll then add to the index by virtue of editing the first post of this thread. I'm doing this by searching for keywords such as review. Occasionally a reivew happens midway through a thread and these are the easy ones to miss, so if you come across them please let me know. The index was last up to date at the end of May, so I'm looking for reviews June 09 onwards. Thanks

OK, antipip. Here is a load off your back :)
These reviews cover the period of Dec 1, 2009 to Jan 12,2010.

Note that some of these may already be in the index as they may have been started a year ago, but revived for one reason or another round-about now. So check for duplicate links when you add them :)

I posted the links as "Code" because then you can copy a row and paste it into the right spot in the index directly without having to reformat, etc, etc.

I also did a search and replace in the index as all the links were pointing to the old forum.oneofakindtrading.co.au domain. Not a problem as the redirect made the right page pop up, but still quite unnecessay to leave it IMHO and a slowdown of the forum.

Thanks brabhamista: I've searched June and July now, so August tomorrow hopefully.

It's quite easy for me to check against the record as the last digits in the link are all that need to check against the index and I can just open another window and copy across.

At this moment in time I'm thinking I'll carry on doing one month at a time, before copying the December Jan links across that you have so kindly for me. Then again I might copy them straight across. I'll sleep on it, but whichever way thanks it's saved me searching for that period.

I am hoping to finish the updating of the database on the 25th (jan 1200), so I will add the link then. Thanks for including it, I'd missed that from an earlier month.

I'll either edit this post or post again when I have updated the database.

EDIT: At the time of this edit the database is up to date

If I have missed any reviews please post the details here
If you post any new reivews please post a link here
If you feel spot any errors please post them here (I need to check on Nexy)
If you think any links shouldn't be included please post the link here

Thanks Brab for finding the links from December / January period, it helped me to finish updating sooner.
Thanks Reb for the index in the 1st place.

If you want to know when the index was last updated just check the last edit time on the first post. I will only edit when I update and it is at those times I will correct any errors.

Thanks Speedplay, I'll include this in the next update of the database. I seem to be updating weekly / fortnightly at the moment, which seems to work with the flow of reviews we get.
