Sounds good...maybe I'm powering the ball too much near the table. :!:

Mentioning blocking, I tend to stroke through the block. Were you mentioning passive blocking?

Anyway, today's the day I play, so I get to find out more things.

...I should have named the thread 'Using Composite Blades'. *sigh*

both passive and active blocking.
IMO these days you really should be active blocking, unless you're trying to scrub pace off the ball or you're desperate.

Had another hit with a buddy earlier. The red Globe 999Nat feels quite ok on the FH, but the black one felt kinda mushy on the backhand -- felt like I needed to put some extra effort to even get blocks on his side of the table. No complaints when I put in some speed, however.

Playing with the Primorac Carbon is ok now -- I just need to find a good way for that flared handle to be straight. I want a trade.

Sounds like the initial tack has not worn off the black 999 nat yet?

I do suppose...the tack makes for a nasty low BH kill.

I'll just keep this on for quite the while...I'm starting to find that using this carbon blade and rubber has ample speed. I can start working back on the fundamentals without fussing about the equipment, hehehehe.

Well, found out that LawOCG was right -- Globe 999 Nats on a PC is ok. Now I'm missing the zing of a carbon blade.

Is there any significant difference between a Primorac Carbon, a Schlager Carbon, and an Iolite? I could buy one of them, but gut feeling and my wallet is telling me to get a PC.

Btw, are there table tennis stores which off good prices in Chiangmai, Thailand?

The handle they have for the Samsonov Carbon at the store is a little iffy...plus I haven't tried one yet, and I've personally tried a PC already...

I'm not exactly sure if it's good to experiment on carbon blades...they're quite expensive. ;)

Err, I haven't seen that in the local shop, sadly.

I don't mind the hard feel of PCs, though.
