Won't the pips break easier if they are dried out?

yes, but when you're paying <10AUD for a sheet of 755 pips or something similar, financial issues don't exactly play a part.

After seeing your equipment gallery I can see why you dont really care about pips breaking on a rubber sheet. Nice stuff.

Considering you can buy sheets of 837OX and some other friendship pips for 5 bucks and you'd probably only break a pip or two every few months, I've got no idea why you're concerned.

I am really not concerned at all and don't really care.

I just made a comment about the pips drying out and then when I saw how much equipment you have I could see why a pip breaking wouldn't necessarily matter to you. Some people want their rubber to last as long as possible regardless of the cost.

Breaking a pip or 2 every couple months wasn't really the topic my comment was responding to. It was a comment directed at putting something on the rubber that would possibly wear it out prematurely. You can chew all the pips off your paddle while watching tv if you want, it doesn't make any difference to me.
