This is a new c-pen from TSP for blocking! Just had a quick hit with it so far. It is pretty slow and seems to match up pretty well with the Tibhar Grass D.Tecs OX. Normally I play shakehand, but since the world's best blocker (Peter Chen) uses penhold, I thought I'd experiment with this for fun.

That's a nice looking blade! I think it does come in shakehand as well.

Is that a inner balsa layer?

Does it come it shakehand? I've never seen one. It blocks great (I have to hold it shakehand style for any accuracy, I can't play penhold for sh%&).

Don't know what the woods are other than cypress, which it says on the front. Total weight including the rubber is 82g.

I like the way under the word DEFENSIVE they call it a "5-ply offensive blade."

Silver's great penhold grip gallery inspired me to make a mini Peter Chen penhold grip gallery, as well. Interestingly, he seems to grip it higher on the handle than the players in Silver's gallery, in fact his thumb is barely on the blade. I found this interesting.

Nice blade. Is it available in japanese penhold?
BTW, do you know what blade and rubber is this gentleman Peter Chen using?

Nice.

I actually grip like him these days.

The blade in the first 3 look a bit like a butterfly Chinese VII to me...

I've only seen it available in c-pen. Haggisv said it might be available in shakehand. Peter Chen uses Tibhar Grass D.techs ox, one-side only.

Could be. He also seems to have something extra attached to the end.

Didn't see this blade (in shakehand) in the latest catalogue, so either it was only in the earlier catalogues, or I was dreaming...

I just looked at that blade again, sure looks nice!

I assume you no longer use it MNNB?
