Hey pips friends

I often have the problem that a certain long-pips-rubber doesn't fit to a certain blade. So I began to look for the reason. One reason could be that the springiness of the pips-necks doesn't fit to the catapult of the blade. If I play with a fast blade and a rubber with fast and non-elastic pips-necks I have great problems to control the ball. So I guess, that it's better to use more (softer) bouncier pips necks with a fast blade, because the blade/ball-touch is longer and the control better.

So I started an online survey to get infos of many pips players in terms of rating the pips-springiness. I would be great if many of you could rate his own long-pips rubber to get an objetive ranking.

Be carefull - 837 has medium-elastic pips-necks and should be play on a medium-bouncy blade

Thanks Martin for the advice about the usage of 837 (OX). How does it compare with Neptune (OX)? Do these two rubbers behave in a similar (or different) fashion? Does the colour of these rubbers affect their behaviour?

There's only one selection for SE7EN L.. There are 3 different versions of that rubber..
Some of the results seem a little off.. I find Kokutaku Tuple 911 fairly hard and not medium.. I also wouldn't put Meteor 8512 in the harder pips category.. I find that one fairly medium..

Same rubber, so many different opinions.
Looks like other than Grass D-Tech, everybody has a different evaluation on the springiness of the pips.

The survey seems to be finished. In addition I made my own ranking with more then 50 long pips rubbers. I get the results by comparing the springiness of the pips between the rubbers with my fingertips. The intetion of the ranking is to get "objective" infos about the long pips that helps to finde a suitable blade. My tests showed that soft and bouncy pips fit to faster blades and vice versa.
