Which is the best riddle? (Vote for up to 3 riddles)

JimWeiland - It's a part of some table tennis bats 10%  10%  [ 3 ]

I've been told I'm the fastest of my sort.
No others from the same brand go as fast as me
But, to play with me you'll need to concentrate
Twice as hard as normal,
I'll give you great speed on your loops
My older and younger counterparts can't compare to me.

Who/What am I?

Think hard about this one, cause I'm, almost sure we all have used "the answer" some time.

This one is still left unanswered, or, at least, with out the correct answer. Trying to think of more hints with out giving it away. It can be used in pretty much all sports and Tennis player Björn Borg where the master when it came to using "it". Tat, John was a really bad loser, but he vented his feeling during the game, Björn on the other hand, he always had an excuse after every lost game. He had been sick, he played with a sprained ankle or what ever, he never said he lost because the opponent was better.




Is it making excuses for why your losing, e.g blaming equipment, lighting, ball, injury etc.

Well done Amateur, you got it right!

I think this riddle should count for 2 points, seeing how many guesses it took before some one got it right. JimW, I would have given the green light for your answer as well, but Amateur was first with the intended answer.

It would have to be a middle rubber (options I can think of from 729; Higher 2, Faster 2, Focus 2)

Concentrate=Focus so

I'll go with Focus 2

Guys, a little less than 1.5 hours will be two weeks after Haggisv challenged us on the riddles and answers ( and yes, I was counting since yesterday :wink: ), there are still a number of riddle unanswered including the latest Speedplay's tough one, again. If you work harder and solve all the un-answered riddles, someone may pass me in the number solved.

I would say some riddles are more difficult than the others, like Speedplay's earlier ones, to which I fortunately woke up at the right time to solve most of them. Thanks, Speedplay. Unfortunately, he then made them so much more difficult to solve and peoplelost interest, I think.

Anyway, my post here is to remind Haggisv that I am waiting for a new rubber in my mail box in a week or so. :lol: :lol:

Yep the contest is now closed... I just haven't had time to gether all the riddles and count, but it sounds like Tat's the winner! :mrgreen:

I think there may be way too many riddles to have a vote for the best one, so I propose I pick the top 10 myself and we vote among those?

I tempted to say they are all Dr Neubeur's rubbers but I also hesitate to guess they are 729 rubbers (Dr Evil and Gambler rubbers) too. Speedplay, it might be easy for you, but for us, it was really tough to guess what you had in mind because there are so many choices and I didn't bother to check each and every brand of rubber to validate each of your sentences.
