Some guy showed up at our club last night who was from Korea. We talk a little here and there in between games about small talk. I saw he was a chopper useing a Joo blade with P1r. So I asked him what he thought of it. He said he uses what his friend uses. But he is getting ready to switch. I said who is your friend. He said Joo Se Hyuk. I was like you know him. He told me they are from the same town and they call each other. Hew then told me he will be at the KillerSpin Tourney this month. I then asked him what equipment Joo is useing these days. Kagin, you need to check this if you can. He said he switched about 4 months ago to FH Tenergy (64?) BH TSP P3 and the Blade is Mat Pro Alpha.

Now the only way we can confirm this is if Kagin can get close enough to check it out. Come on Kagin, we need to know. See what you can find out.

Wow, nice story, but what I didnt get is that if this guy was using JS Hyuk´s equipment or he was actually using JSH former equipment.

I'll try to find out if i can remember, but it would be easier if you'd just drive up and see for yourself.

Was the guy you met named Ji Hyung, skinny guy with spikey hair and square glasses? Long shot, I know...

I just checked the Joo fan club in Korea, which is huge and kind of scary -- stalkerish. Everyone wants to know what Joo is using.

According to this website, he's using.... Grass D Techs! Strange eh? I think it's a fairly reliable source since these people actually know him and have regular access to him. However, January 3rd the admin will meet with him and confirm his equipment. The club is saying his blade is a Diode with a JSH handle.

I'm using P-3 now, and it seems like a pretty poor rubber for chopping, but perhaps with a thick sponge, it might be better.

Sorry mr joe, i wasn't able to examine his racket. I was a pure spectator at this tournament so i thought it would be rude to barge in. I asked jorge to check for me because he was umpiring, but then i realized that he probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a retail joo se hyuk blade and a diode that had a joo se hyuk (or matsushita pro alpha) handle on it.

Anyway i don't think it matters, the defence 2 should be great for you.

What is the difference between the Butterfly Diode and the Joo Se Hyuk blade. Also I currently play with a Matsushita Pro Special and how does it compare to the Joo Se Hyuk blade at least speed-wise. I played with it once and with different rubber so could not really tell the difference. Do you think the JSH would pair well with DHS H3 Neo.

You can see (at the bottom) on this site spinfactory.de some nice pictures of the 2 blades

Diode : http://www.spinfactory.de/shop/butterfl ... _4526.html
Joo Se Huyk : http://www.spinfactory.de/shop/butterfl ... 5_608.html

The 2 blades have 5 plies but they are different.
Diode seems to have 5 plies of the same siez and the Joo Se Hyuk a central pli thicker

I'd love to try the Diode but where can I buy it besides spinfactory?

I thought diodes were discontinued years and years ago as they were prone to warping?
