Do edits no longer show? I think it would be good if they did and we could see if a post was edited.

Looks like it only show the edit date and time, when you put in a reason why you edited it... see my post above.

How do you do that then?

I couldn't see the option to input a reason when I just tried to edit my first post.

I'd think i'd still prefer posts to show all edits if it were possible, I imagine some arguments could develop on that kind of thing.

When you edit your post, right at the bottom there is a box that allows you put in a reason for the edit.

I've found out that if you've edited a post, it should still indicate this for everyone except moderators (who may need to edit posts for moderating reasons). Try it to your post above, see if it works...

I have edited my post two times yesterday, no sign of edit showed up and no box for me to write why.

As Silver suggested i your post, didn't work.

Edit: I have to type this whole thing. However, before I was a spam killer, the edit sign automatically shown.
Not a big deal, really.

It won't work for you Tat, since you are a Spam Slayer, which classes you as a moderator.

You should be able to edit your posts though, and the box to put in the reason should be there too...

Ok, I've (finally) figured it out

For all users (exept MODs and Admin), if you edit your post it will only show the "last edit by xxx" message IF the post has been replied to. I guess the logic is that if there are no further replies to the post, it does not matter so much if it's edited, but if you edit a post that's already been replied to, it may matter a great deal.

For MODS and Admins (who can edit other people's posts), the edit message will not show, unless they put a reason in the box at the bottom (which others can't see). This is because they often need to edit/delete inappropriate material, where there is no need to show it's been edited unless they deem it necessary. The system does keep a log of the changes/edits that moderators make, so there is still a record for the other mods and admins.

To test this, you can edit one of your messages above, and it should show that it's been edited...
