What would be a more or less ideal set up for a Friendship 837 (Black) OX long pip blocker? C or J?

Would it make a difference if he wants to twiddle and use inverted from the BH for serves, not RPB?

I have a twiddleable...is that a word? J he can borrow to try and C if I can dig it up. The player is in his mid-sixties, somewhat mobility limited and has not played ping pong in about forty years. When he played he use a cut down shake hands Butterfly American Style with D-13 on the serving side and blank wood on the blocking side. He was a Class B player.

Suggestions for blade and inverted would be appreciated.

Blade: Darker Speed 90 Jpen
FH: Dawei Inspirit Quattro UL
It is very difficult if not impossible to twiddle a traditional Jpen blade so I would say Cpen is the best way to go. The reversible Jpens can be twiddled but again ard not as easy as the Cpen blades.
