Not sure if its a Donic, there are a few shot when Wang was getting ready, you can see the handle is NOT hollow.

listen to his blade when they warm up....blade sounds exactly how my old defplay used to sound....the handle probably is hollow, they were very careful to cover it with grip tape and cap the handle off....the blue v3 is visable from several angles as well as the handle cap....

+1 for donic defplay (not classic)

Here are two recent matches against Suss and Janos Jakab. They were not very well played, but they carry enough drama for the rest of the year. Wang had some serious problmes against Jakab's short no-spin serves, and it looks like Jakab plays with very little spin all through the game, whichs makes it very difficult for Wang (he misses lots of chops and counters).

it seems like wang xi has the right balance between attacking nd defening where as Joo is pure defence (chop chop chop)

Anymore news on this custom blade? I'm a Defplay user myself and wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of these rarities.

EDIT: Whoops, wrong thread

I saw Wang Xi at the most recent CCTTA allstars this weekend and with my knowledge of blades he is using the Joo Se Hyuk blade with the Defplay Senso handle and sticker on it as it had the small notch where the old butterfly logo would have been......in his recent match against Shibaev he has his racket wrapped up with grip tape...

maybe because his sponsor told him to stop using the joo blade

and then the next match he has a defplay senso handle on....it makes sense

i always wondered how such a good player could play with such a blade, what you say makes sense i don't see him playing with the defplay as it has too much vibrations and not that much power for the topspins he makes.

Not trying to be argumentative, but 2795-rated Chinese player Wang Wei uses Defplay Senso just fine, and his forehand is pretty powerful... :)
