Has anyone tried Tibhars grass flex medium pimples? Can they be used as on offensive pimple like friendship 563 or globe 888?

Sounds like not many people have used it... perhaps I had not heard about it at all, but would like to find out as well...

Well, I tried Grass Flex 1.6 on BH of my Nittaku Violoncello.
The quality of the rubber is very good.
It is spinny, fast, quite springy (I guess because of its spinge).

Comparison to Spectol Speed 1.5:
Speed - ~1.3 times faster
Spin - ~ the same
Control - worse ~1.5 times.

Cut against topspin - OK, like high friction LP
Cut against chops - Can generate good underspin, but control is bad
Smash - Fast
Deception - not much, but exists, ~1/3 of Feint Long II.

I used this on my BH for allround play (cut+attack).
I would recommend Flex 1.6 for attack only.
Maybe I will try 1.2 sponge.
No sponge can be used for pure defence, I think.

PS And it is faster than 563 1.5, can generate more spin, and more springy.
I you like 563 on 1.5 sponge, try Flex with 1.2 sponge.

guys, I tried this tonight. First impressions are quite good. It is relatively easy to use like 563.

I attack with the pips and I found there was less effect than 563, however they were very controllable.

Hi, what is sponge thickness? How it is for chopping -- both near to and far from the table?
