The Palio Ck531A very good blocking pimple but little bit to fast. Need a very slow blade to be good. Like Stiga Tube defense

Thanks for your comment.
Always the same problem of mine. Very slow blade would be fine for BH, but I can not hit agressively with a slow FH.

Hi Pal!

Yesterday I ordered a Toni Hold Dämpfungsfolie the Ebay. This folie slow down the long pimple speed about 15-20%

might be good . . .

Is Palio CK531a a tensioned rubber?

without that would you loose any other characteristic of pimpled sheet?
Is it possible to announce that there is no anyother changing by using of Dämpfungsfolie?

ll I know about this Dämpfungsfolie:

-15-20% slow down the pimple any blade
- Better control
- slightly lower spin reversal
- Thick like 3 or 4 glue sheet together

I'm not sure if that is allowed, but they do not see under the pimple :D

Thanks Gery,
Yes, I have already found MNNB's discussions on an older topic regarding to Dämpfungsfolie, and my curiosity is satisfied.
Slightly lower spin reversal is too much for me, when I have only a slight spin reversal nowadays. ;(

Wow if it is not tensioned how could it be so fast. I am confused haha :D

Palio CK 531A OX (black) is very much controllable on BH-side of Hallmark Aurora which is very slow (DEF) and also hard&stiff, so good reversal. FH-side is more like ALL(+), so just fast enough for FH loops & attacks

Palio 531A is not a tensioned rubber, but it can be quite fast. Yosua many pips are very "blade sensitive" and very hard to control the way the ball comes off the pips on a faster blade. I'm a fairly experience pip user, yet there are many pips I simply cannot use effectively on my Gergely's. With some pips just touching them to the ball sends the ball long when the ball has topspin or no spin on it. Its the reason I stick with Pogo Ox as I can usually predict what it will do from my blade. I could use a slower blade, but then my FH wouldn't be the weapon it is!

I think that Palio is similar to Double Fish 1615 with respect to speed. One can attack with Palio as well as with 1615 DF. Spin reversal of Palio may be slightly more than that of 1615 DF. I came across a player who uses a Palio on a blade. He stays close to the table; and this enables him to chop, block and attack with sharp angles and puts the opponents out of position with good placement. Another player has been using 1615 DF for the past about 31 years. He arranges a hard sponge (1 mm) under 1615 DF; and plays an attacking game.
