This is how some of the highest level anti players use their anti. Infrequently. But when they do it's very effective. Anti side is red. World class twiddling.

The anti is Dr. Neubauer Anti Special

This is a version available in Germany with a special sponge. I believe it plays similar to Der Materialspezialist Nightmare.

That's interesting!

The standard version comes with a 1.5mm HRS sponge (and thicker but not thinner). They probably put on their own sponge, as i don't think 729 have released one with a different sponge. I played with a custom 804 sheet with a regular 1.0mm sponge, and the control was great even against fast loops.

Yes, it's an 804 topsheet with an aftermarket sponge.

EVS stands for Ed von Schleck, the person in Germany who treats 804 (and other rubbers, perhaps) to make them as close to frictionless as possible. Of course, players using this cannot enter a competition legally if that competion follows ITTF rules. Treated rubbers are far from cheap, so one might as well purchase Neubauers or Nightmare; I guess most do nowadays; 804 EVS is something predating Neubauer ABS or Nightmare.
