 ;) Yes, I have a mobile phone, but my SD card is full of maps for my integrated GPS. My cam is also only 2 MP...

But I can record using my photocamera (14 MP if I'm not mistaken). I've just facebooked my friend about it: if he approves it, I'll record our first training session we'll be doing.

That's the spirit! Just remember to check the camera from time to time, my rather new Canon Ixus can only record 10 minutes long films no matter what resolution I use.

Just got a message fro my friend saying it's ok to film him and me. I think mine can record as long as there is space on the SD card in my photocamera, meaning I can film for 8 GB. :)

So how did it turn out?

I just reglued my Mo Wang to a slightly thicker sponge -1,0 mm. Sae type of sponge though. I thing it will get me a better feeling when chopping. I need a little softer feeling and some more dwell time. I hope there will still be some spin reversal left. I will try it tomorrow.

Still no vid, but at least it's planned in the near future. I'm in my exams right now and so is he, so we haven't trained for weeks together. But I'll record our first "encounter" (probably after both our exam period: mine ends January 26th - his ?).

I was convinced it would benefit your game when adding those couple tenths of mm.

I'm still playing with the DTecs 1,6 and I'm still loving it. I ordered that new P4 (1,5 - red): it appears to be fast, soft sponge and flexible pips. I might like it. I'm curious. I also ordered an Adidas P3 2,0 black: apprently quite close to Tenergy 64, but a little softer.

Now that I type it, P3 and P4... Might be a sign from the gods that this can be my next wonder combo. :D

I am curious to hear how P4 works for you. I have a sheet of P1r 1.0 mm laying around. But I stil think I need a little more spin reversal. I still need a couple of easy points here and then. But this spring I will test that one a little more. And I will revisit D.TecS 1,6 mm also.

But for now I am most curios of what my thicker sponge can do. 11 hours left 'til next session.

It worked out just as I thought it would - a little more speed and softer feeling, more spin on first chops, less spin reversal. Easier to attack with (I can counter attack with BH from where I normally chop - great fun). Muck better to return back spin and no spin serves, but also it is more sensitive to heavy spin serves. Blocking is not as leathal, which means almost like an inverted but less speed. It plays very similar to TSP Curl P1r, but with a little more deception or randomness. Feels good, but I need to change some tactics since my returns (especially counter or drives) are not as difficult to read as with DTecS. On the other hand I rarely misses those shots anymore.
I think I will make a short video with some points wher I combine chopping and countering from the same distance, that really messed up the timing for my friend :) .

Good to hear you like it. Going for a thicker sponge will always diminish deception, but it will also make the pip more controllable if you're used to playing with sponge. 1.0mm is for most defenders the golden midway. Looking forward to the vid.

Here are some points from matches last session and also a few clips from practicing chopping and counter attacks. Mo Wang works fabulous in these aspects!

Hi, I like your counter from the back off the table, nice :) It would be a big weapon if you could adobt it to your game :)

Just a notice: I've seen the ost of your videos here and on youtube, and I find your biggest problem in the bh push after chop (topspin-chop-push-PUSH). They are usually a bit high, can be killed... I think running to the table is much better with twiddle, push with inverted, then you can only get slower topspin you can handle for sure (and the puch is much easier to do, too, + it confuses the opponent who sometimes get a dead push with lp sometimes backspin with the inverted...). You did that 1-2 times when practiced it, but I didnt see this in match :)

Anyway: nice points, I like your chops and counters ;)

You are right, I should push with inverted more often. But anyway, it is much easier and more effectice to push with Mo Wang than DTecS. I just need to adjust my technique. Also, I recently changed inverted, and I need to adjust my pushes with that side also... In short, I need to prectice pushes :)

I also love the off the table counter. I however am finding that I can hit one or maybe two off the table counters with my LP, but cannot keep up a BH to BH counter exchange-I have to switch to chop and "re-set" the point.

You play well with the Mo Wang. Do you have any videos against opponents who stay at the table?

Nope, not yet. I have only been using it for one month. But tomorrow I will be playing a team match in our leauge, perhaps I will film one of my singles... But Mo Wang is very easy to block with close to the table, but it will return a dead or top spin ball, unless you chop block. But it takes the pace of the ball and that can confuse opponents...

I've seen your vid this morning and you played really nice with it, but that's something I also noticed when you played with the DTecs. I think a match situation, whne you're under match pressure, will give you a better view how it plays. It probably will play more secure than the DTecs, resulting in more balls kept on the table and more points in your advantage.

Nice backhand counter with the pips, but be careful to use that against a good looper/hitter who stays at the table. They'll smash it back to sender with the speed of light. :D
