so i played with Dtecs since day 1 it came out
until this day

now my lvl raised and i play with better players
those LP suddenly became extremly fast (since i get much stronger and faster loops and drive from the opponents)
so my chops goes really high
i tried one session with FL3 but this was too slow and from 3-4 feet i barely pass the net

is there any LPs simillar to Dtecs in aspect of reverse and deception, but slower?
(if not then i will just have to practice it more but still.. you know.. its easier to change rubber =] )

thx =]

Don't change. :)
What you need to do is to increase your backswing speed, to match that of the more powerful loops that you are now seeing. When your opponents attack, visualize the speed of the ball and make your paddle move as fast backwards as the ball before you chop. The easiest way to do so is to hold your blade with your wrist even looser than whatever you are doing. Remember: INCREASE your backswing speed before you chop. :)

I have made the same journey... I used DTecS 1,6 mm and recently changed to Mo Wang. Give Mo Wang a try, it is cheap and something like DTecS. It has more control but is still deceptive and much easier to attack with. It also has more grip on pushes. Not as much back spin on first chop as DTecS, but heavy back spin on next one (perhaps a thicker sponge would fix that). The trajectory is about the same, wich makes it difficult for opponent to read the spin.

Stay close to the table while using D-Techs. Chop with it and attack occasionally when the ball is high. If you are away from the table, then fast drives with a lot spin are difficult to control.

well.. my style is away from table
so is there any LPs that the control with them away from table chopping is good against fast drives?

BiGiDi, if you liked it before, you'll still like it when your technique has catched up with your opponent's spin and speed. What roundrobin states is totally true. I want to add to that comment that your wrist speed while chopping also need to be increased. For me all you need to do is to be patient and work on your technique/position/running speed. If you still want to change, Def-attack has formulated the right pip. But remember: it's a quick fix if you have the ambition to go a lot higher in ranking and level.

I'm looking for a sheet of Tibhar Grass D.tecs 0X to try to see if it would work for me. If its cheap enough, I wouldn't care what color or size as long as its in good shape. The person I talked to said I wouldn't be able to chop as well with it, but maybe I could adapt if it worked well enough otherwise.

PM me if you have one to sell, please.
