It would be fun to get 1 training session with this rubber, but I'm kinda waiting for powersponge version :) Wonder if there will be one :^)

I had a bit of a hit with it as well today, and I agree very much with strongpong's view. It's a nice rubber with a strong glue feel. Spin on slower to medium paced loops is very high, but it takes a lot more effort to get good spin on serves.
When you loop hard it comes off really fast, but there's a lot less spin, so I don't think it suits powerloopers. It's remarkably easy to block with, it's really quite insensitive to spin. I don't think it's a good Tenergy alternative, and in all fairness they never claimed it would be. It's a good rubber in it's own right... I think those that like Hexer HD but want more speed to put the ball away will like it.

I thought I would take some decent pictures of Rasant, feel free to use them as there aren't many good pictures of the rubber around

Wow great pictures of the sponge foam!   The pores are huge!

The sponge looks just like that of the Donic bluefire, except theirs is blue instead of green  Must be the latest technology from ESN.

You are right Bluefire seems to be the same sponge in blue. The top sheets are not the same as far as thickness and pimples go... Well both seem to be made from that same dull matt grippy rubber that first appeared with Hexer HD, the sponge on Rasant is not made from the same er,, sponge! as the other Tensors, I tried to take close enough pictures to show how it looks and feels like plastic, you can hopefully see in the pictures how smooth and solid the sponge material is?. I didn't notice with the naked eye the fancy glue the top sheet is glued to the sponge before with, if you've ever tried to glue a new top sheet to a very porous sponge you'll know that you need something very special in the glue department to make them hold together.

Actually the sponge is more like made from that rubber super balls are made from + full of bubbles rather than proper sponge.

I have finally tried Rasant on a Gergely blade. Before that, I was able to use Tenergy 05 and was able to compare the two rubblers head on. I agree that 05 has more zing but Rasant has better control.
