what Ill do here is add all the official National table tennis websites onto this page, so do you visit your NOTTWS (just made that up National official Table Tennis website) I do like NZ one where you can look at National Champions, ratings events, Facebook, News and it gets updated regularly,
do you like yours?, I think the Aussie one was made in the 2000's lol (just some local small Country against big Country Neighbor humor )
so send a link on here and ill add to the first listing, when I get a few ill change the list to Alphabetical (for REB that means "A" first ok) then Haggisv will sticky it for everyone

They are all pretty average from a design point of view. This is my thoughts.
Too amature looking: Oz & NZ
Too busy: UK, USA & German
and they al suffer from too much front page info or lack of short engaging content for viewers.

At least the Canadian and Scotish ones are easier to look at making them only slightly better then the others. The really sad thing is that the USATT one looks the most professionally done... that is a horrible thing to behold.

Could you imagine looking for TT in Oz after coming out this way, only to come across that horrible abortion of a website?! Makes me cringe looking at the visially impaired colour sceme and horrible framed layout that looks dated... like late 90s dated... TTNZ isn't that much better. All the strange poor quality images and overly busy background coupled with 'too much info' disease these sports bodies have on the front page... But it is still better then the OzTT one.

Have they not realised what a link and menu can be utilised for?... Alas, but I realise that every individual that has supplied content is more important then the last so they all NEED to be on the front page.

yeah... I know, a little OTT. I thought that while typing it out, but sometimes is useful to be blunt, specially with the state of some of these websites. Of course its only my opinion.

I just dont know why the associations pay for such dated things and never update their image. I can understand a free template used, but really the cost for a national body to build and maintain a website isnt really that big surely? I used to work in design and have seen many good ideas ruined due to poor understanding, resulting in lack of funding and poor layout decision making. I simple clean well designed professional website would be more beneficial to the assiciations then say the OzTT one which is just horrific.

In an age where everything is only an internet connection away, I would want to have at least a decent looking online presence.

totally agree, some amateur dated cluttered and non current websites out there

So I think the four main things Not too cluttered, is easy to navigate, current and topical, has good links and history

Also limited advertising...
I can understand a banner or two for sponsors but some nicer advertising in a more design friendly environment would be nice.

Good idea rodderz

I've had my say on the Australian one before already :(

I like the ETTA one... it's easy to navigate, kept well up the date as well.

The AU and USA ones have lost their identify as well as control over the site by joining a general sports network... I think this is bad, particularlyy on the AU site. I see lots of totally irrelevent ads, as well as ads enticing members to other sports. :n: :n: :n:

Agreed. Of the bunch, England is the clear winner.

I do like the English one but I didn't like some of the abbreviated headings (you have to click in to see what it means)
also I like to see who were the National champions you know a list of Mens and Womens title holders going back to whenever and most websites don't have that info or it's hard to find
any other websites out the people?
