I am interested in finding out how the Pro version plays in comparison with the regular T-9. I would appreciate from hearing from anyone who has an insight.

There seems to be inordinate difference in the price of the two models. I have seen the regular at <$45 USD and the Pro for well over $80 USD. That seems a huge difference for only a single veneer of even Brazilian Rosewood. Any deals out there on the Pro?

Thanks,
tOD

I had the same thought... unfortunately (as you may know already) the cost price is about twice as much for the pro, which is why they're being sold for a lot more. I also don't know how they can justify this large difference in price. :o :o :o

Yinhe have gone mad lately, they used to be the good deal company with blades that out performed their price. But now they are heading towards a company that make better than average blades and sell them at elite blade prices. None of their blades have ever been that good. The m6 is worth 40 or 50 I guess, the w6 is almost as good as a yasaka blade which are pretty cheap anyway, most the rest of them especially the carbons are not that good, 2024 being an exception because that one is not bad. Peter in Germany charges like 1 euro extra for rosewood veneers because thats how much extra they cost. China have years and decades yet to go before they have wages that justify those kind of prices.

Thanks for the information. I have had a number of Yinhe blades and the ones I have had seemed to be a good value for the money. Among the things that were stolen damaged, when my house was broken into, were a half dozen or so Yinhe blades.

I am sorry to hear that they have changed their business model.

I have both the pro and normal version of the t9. I play with short pips on the carbon sides. The pro and normal version are very similar in speed and control. There is a small difference which concerns the balance of the blades. Both blades are very light but the balance of the t 9 pro is a little bit more to the head whereas the balance of the normal t 9 is more in the middle. I use the t9 pro for training as the head heavy balance help me in follow through of my strokes and use the normal t9 for competition as the neutral balance is most optimal for quick reactions.

One wonders if the difference is any more than blade-to-blade variation, though. You can't tell unless you've bought several, at long intervals of time from different suppliers.

I've never bought the expensive Yinhe blades, but the cheap ones are made VERY WELL indeed. The old N11 was really nicely made - you took the plastic wrap off and you didn't want to put rubber on it because it was just so mirror smooth. No joint gaps, no sanding marks on the butt end. Better build quality than Stiga (my only Stiga blade has a lens which sticks out about half a millimeter, and the handle is rough - though that might be by design). I've been staying away from carbon.
