XIOM have agreed to an interview.

It will be conducted similarly to our other interview here, where I gather everyone's questions, and I will organise them into a list and send it to them. I've got quite a few questions myself, but if you ever wanted to ask them anything about their company, the brand or their products, here is your chance!

So if you do have any questions, please post them here, and I'll try to include them.

Can you ask them to make the topsheet of Omega iV Europe 15-20% grippier and then they would have the perfect rubber!

I would like to know what and where there goals are as a company?
What aspects of the game are they trying to push forward and innovate?
and what they try to provide that they feel is lacking in other companies and the game itself?
brand philosophy. things like that

After RSM, there is no high profile player representing Xiom.
I know Xiom is likely not able to name any body at present, but are they looking at getting a bunch of top players sponsored?
I think Xiom is lacking some brand ambassidors in that aspect.

When will Xiom be introducing Balls - it appears on the website, but not available for purchase.

Are they interested in getting products reviewd in English?
From Vega Japan - all the reviews are in Japanese, and I struggled finding them in English.
I am sure a few extra sheets of rubber won't break the bank and in return, it will be very informative and easy for the TT fans to read up English reviews from the popular product reviewers out there.

There are some mix feelings about the life cycle of the product, some says it is too short (producing going eol very quickly or version 2 and 3 coming out very fast), what is they view about that.

What is XIOM's relation to Champion?

It was a shame to see that Xiom Guillotine was recently discontinued. Is there no market for long pimples?

If in future you discontinue a rubber, how long after will you continue to keep it ITTF approved so that existing users can continue using it?

What is XIOM's policy on discontinuing blades? It seems a few blades which appeared to be popular have been discontinued.

Xiom is the same company as Champion

Champion for Korean market and Xiom for world wide market as I know :)

I didn't think that was the case, which is why I'd like to ask them. AFAIK Champion is the budget arm of the company, and they started up XIOM later for the professional line. However XIOM seemed to offer some of their products, but it seems not anymore.

Xiom is a Korean brand, but their products are made in Germany. I'd like to know more about the (hi)story behind that.

-Is Xiom the number one brand (most popular) table tennis company in Korea?
-Can you please tell us a little about the history of Xiom, i.e., how and when Xiom started, and what factors led to its being a major table tennis company? Korea is now a world leader in so many fields. Is Xiom's ultimate goal to be the number one table tennis company in the world?
-Is Xiom going to come out with another long pip rubber to replace the Guillotine? I'd be interested in a long pip rubber that is grippy and soft, somewhat like Butterfly Feint Long III or TSP Curl P4.
-At present, I believe that the Aigis is the only Xiom defensive blade. To me, this blade is extremely soft. Is Xiom going to come out with a harder defensive blade sometime soon?
Some of the vendors in the US that sell Xiom equipment do not carry Xiom Yanus. Is this rubber much less popular than most other Xiom rubbers? I'd be very disappointed if it was discontinued.
-It would be great if the Xiom Yanus could be available in an intermediate thickness, between 1.5mm and 2.0mm? Is it possible that we will see an intermediate thickness, such as 1.7mm or 1.8mm?
-I visit Korea often. Does Xiom have a head office in Seoul that is open to visitors? If it does, is there equipment on display and for sale?

1. How do you test your equipment to come up with the ratings you do for your rubbers and blades?
2. At lot of company's use ESN in Germany to produce their rubbers. Why do you use ESN, where do you develop the rubbers you ask ESN to produce and how much difference is there really between the different rubbers/sponges produced by ESN.
3. Why do you shape the handles of your blades the way you do?

Thank you

Will you ever make Yanus in a 1.7 or 1.8? I would be seriously interested
