Okay, I'm sweating a little. But I'm confident you're screwed!

Give me a 'C'!

Oh, I think I get another letter in. So, give me a W!

Or am I screwed in my thinking???

I'll accept your C and your W as the next serve Oskar, but then we must wait for the Gamer's reply.

The score is now 5-10. I wonder if the Gamer can screw you before you get the chance to finish him! :P

Can I ask the umpire to please confirm that there have been no errors in scoring? Now that I have a solid clue to work with, i.e. screw, I'm a bit lost ... :?:

From the letters I've chosen it appears that GAMEr's word can't be any of the obvious ones: corkscrew, jackscrew, leadscrew or woodscrew.

As you can tell I'm currently stumped big time. :o :o :o

Anyway, I tip my hat to GAMEr at this stage for getting me in this state. :worried:

But I'm not beaten. So watch out! :geek:

My apologies Oskar. I "screwed" up  You have your second C and an extra point! However, The Gamer still has the next shot!

Thanks, Umpire. This, of course, proves that umpires are approachable people if the grievance is sound.

And as a good sportsman that I am, I will certainly give GAMEr a chance to make up some points. But I think the victory dance below says it all ...

Edit: Ummm. Or does it? Before I start making a fool of myself I just noticed that there's only one R in the word. Oh well, back to drawing board ... |(

Actually Oskar didn't notice until recently either. I really should write these things down rather than rely on my quirky memory LOL.

I declare Oskar the official winner! His picture of a corkscrew and his tolerance of poor umpiring is enough to get him over the line. There's an irony in there somewhere though.

Thanks guys! My brain was frazzled there for a few hours and I was just about to ring my therapist. I was about to tell him/her that I think I'm screwed.

And, Reborn, the irony is not lost on me.

Who's lined up for the next elimination game? Alex vs Reb is a dream match. Maybe gamer can umpire for the two.

I think we might just do Reb v Haggisv, but I nominate Oskar as the umpire given The Gamer is not able to get online too often. Let's see how Haggisv shapes up in this. Oskar, let me know if you accept the task and I will PM you my word, and Haggisv can do the same. (But we better let him know he is playing :P  )

I would be honoured to umpire any game, especially one between Reborn and Haggisv. Send me your words and I'll do my best to get it right (a little bit of irony goes a long way, right Reborn?) ;)

I'll certainly put my hand up for that one too! I have a lot of redemptive umpiring to do. :)

I'm just curious, what is the word of Oskar?
