Yep. A faster blade would help compensate a bit but is not a full solution.

A faster AND spinnier setup is definitely the way to go for the new ball, as it will allow a player to produce quality shots at all stages of the ball flight, at any distance from the table.

Yep. Makes sense. Also jibes with the ITTF observation that 4.2mm rubber worked best. Further jibes with my impression that this makes it harder to play hardbat against sponge.

I wonder what the new ball will mean for defensive pip players when it comes to material. LP with even more grip? Or will the likes like DTecs and CK531a survive? Or no more LP and only SP will become an effective defensive weapon? Maybe a resurrection of a double inverted defender? Only time will tell, I guess.

It will force hardbatters to play closer to the table to use angles and speed to gain any advantage. This strategy will work against inverted players up to a certain level, but not against good, consistent mid-distance power loopers. Chopping with hardbat will be much less effective, as less spin on the new ball will make attacking chops easier than ever before.

LPs will still have its place because its easier to chop strong drives close to the table with it than SPs or inverted. This is crucial to seize the initiative to attack when defending. However, with the new ball, world-class choppers will have to attack more often to stay competitive, as previously "loaded" chops with celluloid ball will be smashed away easier than ever before. So my opinion is chopping will be easier at lower levels because of reduced power, but it will be even harder to train world-class choppers to stay competitive with big attackers, as there's no longer "safe" chops to avoid being hit hard. Lobbing with spinny inverted at the highest level will be more effective than chopping.

Chopping will become less effective because it will be easier for an offensive player to loop steadily against it. Maybe offensive players strategically let games go to expedite against tougher defensive players. I'm betting it will be easier to drop shot against chop as well.

As far as I know the problem that Polyball sounds like a defect ball has been solved. The sound of improved seamless ball is very close to old seam ball. it is difficult to distinguish. It is sold in some place of China and has a good feedback.

This is definitely incorrect all plastic is toxic when it burn it gives off cyanide related gases in other words smoke, breath it in & the health risks are enormous with death a possible outcome.
With such an incorrect statement in this report what of the rest of it?

Exactly. Not to mention plastics and their manufacturing byproducts will keep polluting the earth for a hundred million years.

my friend got a improved seamless ball with good sound, the feeling is very good when we play, it's difficult to distinguish the new ball and old ball. I was told the ball came from the factory which provide new ball to players for testing and collecting statistic data and comments after play.

No testing report yet from resident OOAK forumer? Until Haggisv or Reb or MNNB or any of the OOAK reputable guys would I believe that this test report is true.

HaggisV and Debater have done vary good reviews but we are a little unsure of the exact ball/s that will be used, as there were different prototypes out there

Yes I was able to read it. Seems that the polyball is continuously updated.
