That is an Stiga 2000 offensive blade the only Stiga blade that had an AN handle. This was my first real blade in the beginning of the 80s.

cheers for the info.

Think it did have 'Offensive' in very faint lettering on the side opposite the
one with 'Stiga' written on-but I probably sanded it a bit too vigorously
when repairing it and sealing it.

yes it does feel really nice. played probably my best match ever with it last week
(though I've only been playing 'properly' for less than 2 years)
-having a blade that I felt comfortable with helps me focus on the game.

Will be sticking with this combo for a few months at least (the H3 Neo seems to go nicely with it
and the Dipper 3 seems nice for BH-it seems quite similar to Tackiness Drive which was my 1st BH rubber).

I just hope that I can one day play as smoothly as the man himself...

I do play with a steady FH loop (rather than a 'modern' loop drive) but my footwork
is nothing like this good.

btw, anyone know of any more videos of Kjell Johansson??

@all,
Was lucky enough to come across one of these classic beauty's myself recently at a garage/yard sale. After spending some time removing the old petrified rubber and sponge and with a little sanding, sealing and super glue around the edge to prevent further chipping and delamination... it came out rather well.
It appears to be a 5 ply blade(thick inner and 2 very thin outer plies), 88g, quite flexible and very comfortable to hold.

I have an old Stiga Clipper Wood with Kjell Johansson handle (a little like a cone). I think the name Kjell Johansson only has to do with the handle, not the blade itself. I bought mine around 1987 I think. Still have it but it is not good for devensive style (but I treid it with TSP Curl P1r 0,6 mm, felt ok) :)

I have one of these except it is allround wood. I used it with Mark V on the forehand and Sriver on the backhand.
