OOAK Shop is Joola Distributor for Australia, and as such I've done quite a bit of research and testing, to find good Joola blade & rubber combinations for a variety of styles.
If anyone is interested, take a look at the Joola blade & rubber combinations here. ;)
If you have any further suggestions, let me know, so that I can add them in. ;)

Interesting. :)

As an owner of CWX blade, why Maxxx 500 on the FH?

As the list shows, it seems clear that it might be difficult to find allround blade for BH chopping&blocking with effective looping FH. CWX has good FH, but it's quite fast to play with ox pips on the BH. TH blade seems to be good for ox blocking, but lacking FH looping speed.

Its a DEF+ blade. It needs all the FH rubber help it can get lol  Fast with Ox on the BH? Try the Gergely :P

Yes that's right..it's not that fast a blade, and you'll need power away from the table, since is this is where you'd likely be chopping with the LPs, so a fast rubber is recommended for that style. The Maxxx has quite a soft topsheet, so it's not that fast when you brush loop, but it's fast when you loop drive. Of course you can also tame it with a thinner sponge, or a slower rubber, depending on own style.

There are different opinions... 8)

https://www.megaspin.net/store/default. ... =1#reviews

Quote:
- way too fast for a def blade more of an off+

- If you are new to chopping and playing defense this blade is probably not for you, a little too fast.

- stiff fast defensive blade, provides good reversal if u use pips because of the stiffness.....maybe a touch too fast for a control game.....

- Control during defensive strokes is good, but its speed can be surprising. It is a "OFF-" blade, with a DEF make-up!

I wish there was a bit more info about the t.p.e. blades ,these have caught my eye but would like to know the thickness of them and compositions particularly the off one
The Joola shirt that I have is more comfortable/cooler than my Butterfly and Stiga ones btw

Roy: I've checked out the Joola Chen Weixing blade, and it's indeed considerably faster than I expected. For chopping with LPs with sponge it works well (too fast for OX I agree), and it also loops well away from the table. I think Maxxx 450 is probably a better fit for forehand... with a thinner sponge if you want to chop with it.
