He wasted that game. He was in front in the fourth and certainlyin the fifth. Back to the drawing table for Masato! He really needs to up his attacking capabilities.

I don't really get why he would do well against Ovt or Zhang Jike(losing 4-3 was pretty impressive to me) then lose to 4-0 or 4-1 to WR 70-100.

Lacking monster FH and consistency hurt his WR a lot.

Someone on Youtube have translated it...
0:00 Well, next let's try the cut.
0:04 First the fore cut if you please.
0:10 To cut you have to return the ball hit by your opponent from a position far from the table.
0:22 If your opponent hits 100 balls, you need the stability to return 100 balls. For this if you don't have proper form, the cut won't be stable.
0:30 First of all for the fore cut, the important thing is to put your left foot forward and shift your weight to your fingertip. I often see cases where the player cuts with the feet parallel. If the feet are parallel, you can't shift your weight well. Also, the shoulder will be lowered and the surface of the racket will face upwards, so when you return a drive or smash, the ball will go too high. If you cut with the left foot forward, your depth will become much larger and you can catch the ball as a line and cut it.
1:21 I'll show a small demonstration.
1:47 One more time, if you please.
1:57 Be sure to put your left foot forward when you cut.
2:05 Let's try the back cut. For the fore cut the left foot was forward, but for the back cut, you cut with the right foot forward.
2:21 The difference between the fore cut and the back cut is that with the fore cut the swing is centered on the shoulder, whereas with the back cut, the cut is performed mainly with the elbow.
2:36 In the case of the fore cut, you swing with your shoulder so your depth becomes larger, but in the case of the back cut your body and the racket intersect so you cannot have such depth. That being the case try to turn your shoulders and back to give yourself some depth.
3:01 Also, one more point. If you raise your elbow, the surface of the racket will face upwards and when you return a drive or smash, the ball will go too high. That being the case it's important to be careful and not let your elbow get too far from your body as you swing.
3:34 Be sure to turn your shoulders and back and swing with your elbow.
