I've been thinking of this a long time. I would like to start a thread for amicus owners and suggested drills. for instance I've been having a hard time developing a drill for serve return setting up the balance of spin placement that is akin to what a 'real' player would hit.
I'm a rec player and could use some ideas from more seasoned players.
with all the owner and member we should be develop some great drills. and put them in one thread.

first. can someone develop a nomenclature so we can all be on the same page?

Good idea.

What things would need to be covered? Off the top of my head:
- Depth
- Width
- Speed
- Spin
- Head Height (which ring it's on?)

What else?

P.S. That is for each ball, of course. A drill may be a series of balls with their own unique settings for each of those and others we add.

The other settings are sidespin and delay (after that ball).
Then there is balls per minute, random location or random order or both.

Hi all, I just received my amicus pro. I'm having issues developing a consistent backspin/ sidespin serve. Would've been great if they included a serve return pre set drill.

Yesterday I tried to set up a short serve with some backspin in order to exercise some forehand and backhand flips.
Unfortunately I did not find a setting that was ok.

Did anyone of you find a setup for exercising flips?

For the short serves, you sometimes need to get the shooting head higher. You need the trajectory to be as low/short as possible. Then you can play with the speed to get the bounces to work. I add some sidespin to the backspin to make it stable. I will see if I can get some settings.

That sounds good. The head was 3 levels high when I tried it. The balls to the left side where quite stable but the right side was pretty varying. I will try the additional sidespin.
