In a few minutes Gustaf will be facing SP/LP defender Thomas Bennborn in a large tournament in Sweden. It is not impossible that there will be a video of that match... It is Gustaf's club who are arranging this tournament (Ängby International). Results will be here: http://resultat.ondata.se/ViewClassPDF. ... 91&stage=5

Thomas Bennborn is the guy that uses P-1R ox right? This could be very interesting....

Gustaf will play attacker in that match up I bet.

Yes (considering how offensive he plated against Filus and considering that Bennborn is one of thes planets most defensive players :) )

He makes Chtchetinine look like Ryu Min Seung. JK.

Def, what do the numbers mean? Are those swedish ratings? or tournament designations?

I think it doesn't. BTW, he said in a facebook message that he uses DG ox...

It's the resolution of the pic and the focus. Just can't see it. but looking at the rubber vs. the edge tape, looks like LP to me...which he said he plays. What I'm more curious about is if he switched to DGII or not.

At the end of the Uemura match, he was playing very passively on the FH. I wonder if this was by design or nerves. Either way, he played well, and his chops were good as always, but typically he's far more agressive on the FH counter looping and hitting more often. Towards the beginning of that match, and the entire match vs. Baciocchi, he was far looser and aggressive. At least to my untrained eye.

Love his style though.
