Off topic, but here is a list of CPen World champs (Singles):

Men: Rong Guotuan, Zhuang Zedong (x3), Xi Enting, Guo Yuehua (x2), Jiang Jialiang (x2), Liu Guoliang, Wang Hao.

Women (and I hope I get the list right): Qiu Zhonghui, Ge Xinai, Cao Yanhua (x2). The Chinese ladies gave up on CPen style much earlier than the men.

I don't think we'll see another penhold World champion any time soon. Maybe never again? ;(

My mistake. Tan Ruiwu (Croatia) plays shakehands.

Kou Lei (who plays for Ukraine) also plays shakehands. I had to watch closely - his serve grip looks penhold-like.

Come to think of it.. in the 1980s or 90s there was a - well, it was Yugoslavia back then - who played Chinese Penhold, and he wasn't Chinese! Can't remember the name. I think Butterfly named a blade after him, but the blade wasn't penhold! Might even have played pips out. Tall, skinny guy.
