I'm looking for a 7-ply stiff wood blade with a japanese style cork handle. It's for fast SPs. RPB possible would be best.

Any suggestions?

Have you considered a hybrid blade? This one is only 5 ply but it is listed as hard.

I mention it only because of the grip. I have another model listed as touch:mid and I like the grip for both twiddling and RPH, though I am a beginner at both.

Anyone know what this "Kase-grip" is for? Kids? People with small hands (Donald Trump need not apply.. )? A specific type of grip? Or style of play?

The grip appears on a few hinoki models as well as some 5 ply models.

I purchased an Armstrong 332 blade while on vacation because I was looking for a Jpen handle with a round cpen surface. The shop ordered the 332 model, but wouldn't order more than one model at a time since I was under no obligation to buy. While looking for a rounded blade with a cork hook grip I noticed the Kase grip blades on the website, but never saw one in person. I am interested in one, but being a beginner I think I should stay with the more common handles for now.

I am currently using my blade to twiddle or at least trying to. If I decide I am better off without twiddling I will consider this blade in the future.

I have never tried one, but it seems uncomfortable to hold because the middle finger will be positioned more toward the back whilst the part between the thumb and index finger will be more forward.
