He's getting pretty good. I wonder why Fabian Akerstrom just doesn't follow the same path? Glanti and close to the table like he originally did.

I have also asked myself that question. I think it has to do with his style nowadays where he chops more. I asked wheel-chair world champion Anna Carin Ahlqvist that question. She uses DG ox on FH and Keiler on BH. But for her, with her limited arm strength and wrist strength the bat would be too heavy. But that should not be a problem for Fabian...

Why do I hear a dog barking during the entire match?

Ademir's match in 2nd round against the 2nd seed can be seen here, starting at 10 hrs 41 min (direct link http://youtu.be/0kT3L7yd2fg?t=38473):

Set 2 and 4 were initially good from Ademir and he was in a big lead in 4th, but the japaneese fellow could cool down a little and get back to his main game plan. In the first sets Ademir had troubles blocking his devestating first attacks. And Ademir also made too many mistakes of his own. But a good effort for both of ths slick anti players to make it to 2nd round    .

I don't think it's the game that's faster. If it was, then it would be impossible for Akerstrom to be a pro in the first place. It is, however, less spinnier and that is in combination with the speed glue replacing and boosted rubbers the real problem these days. So the question is: can these boys from Luxembourg, among them Mladenovic, succeed when turning pro? If they can, then Akerstrom took a wrong career path.
