I think I'm in London both days. Fusion is open every day and is big and has good players. That's probably where I'd recommend.

I'll check; can't do Tuesday but may be ok Monday. The work gym appears clear 12-2 on Monday if that's an option too, otherwise it's busy (start of term) so Fusion sounds a good option as LC suggests..

About that. The club isn't really near a station. Best bets are the jubilee line from Bond Street (near your hotel) to Bermondsey (and then a 20-25 min walk) or the same line to Canada Water, change onto the overground for one stop to Surrey Quays, from which it's about a 15 min walk.

Change of plan......2 hours round trip isn't practical for me.

Likely Friday, tomorrow, at Highbury TTC

Looks like we are struggling. Is Monday lunchtime an option? I think it is less than 30 mins from your hotel.

Sh!t.......never felt so stupid like this in my life.

Went there to the highbury one only to found that it was closed. asked a guy around school and he said "Today is Saturday. School is closed"
My bad - I confused, thought it was Friday.

Really feel bad. carry tripod and camera across the pond for nothing.

My chance to play in England is slim now. I have to hope someone at conference invites my wife to a dinner that she can't refuse...... Really feel stupid to carry tripod and camera across the pond for nothing :(

Difficult to communicate......my internet is very limited and very slow.
Went to Bath, a great name for a city :) then went to Stonehenge - my family loved it!!!
London eye and Cruise tomorrow!!!

Easy to lose track of days when you are on holiday! It will have to be 'next time' then........I'm not in London today anyway.

LC - we must arrange a game.

Co-ordinating a holiday with people and wanting to do tourist things as well as then organising to play TT within those limited windows requires really great planning, communication and knowledge. Bogeyhunter's experience here shows just how hard it is. If I were to go so far from home with this in mind and not meet and hit with the intendeds, it'd be most disappointing. No-one's fault, just a tough situation. Bad luck BH!

Fusion is really a train and bus. If you have GPS not that hard to do. Locating the club can be a pain though - I was there in the winter and no one could point me to the exact spot - froze my azz off before finding it.

After 5 days in England......

- Women, in general, the US women are hotter!!! But US also have more of those 300 lbs who can't walk and need wheelchair/cart and still have HUGE bag of chip in the basket.

- Weather, what da heck. Cold now next minute is hot....crazy. then rain out of nowhere.

- $$$, a bit more expensive than in US. Underground cost is 2.30 (US 3.50) for zone 1. Pretty expensive. Food cost a little more. What's the average income in UK?

- Tourist - The same. Chinese tourists ruin all attractions!!! I'm 50%-75% Chinese in my blood line.......can't stand those tourists.
- Thai food, visited 5 Thai restaurants. All were good. 1 was VERY good(Som Saa - no Thai worked there even in the Kitchen and somehow they cooked VERY good food)

Back home on Wednesday. Get ready to fly to Philly on Friday for women World cup ....... if Hurricane turns away from FL.

A taxi sounds like the best option and don't pay until you're physically outside the club !
Also sometimes you'er better off playing towards the end of your trip since your acclimatised and not jet lagged.
