A pupil of mine is in Bangkok for a few months. I think she lives just on the outskirts of the city centre. Can anyone please recommend a decent table tennis club/s please? Also, she is probably after a (good!) coach. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Just to clarify - this is a table tennis club, right? I gather there are other sorts...

Search for my posts on the matter - the club I know about is near Ramkamkhaeng University on the Northeast side of town. No trains nearby but you can take buses or the water taxi. There is a neat little shop nearby, too - they even had some Dr. Neubauer blades when I visited. Only costs 30 baht to play, open pretty much every day.

GPS location: 13.758480N, 100.626755E

Shop: 13.759151N, 100.628009E

Hmmmm.... Google Maps says the shop is "permanently closed". The website is still up:

http://thaitabletennis.com/

but it's all in Thai so I can't tell if there's a store closure notice on it. Hope this isn't true, worth going and having a look next time I go up.

I played there 2 days ago.
Went 3-0, 3-0, 3-0, 3-0, 3-0, 3-0.....had cramp then lost 1-3.

Not exactly a place for a real/well trained player but good for just excercise.
