Rubbers: Yasaka Mark V HPS

Could not find dedicated thread for him, so here it is. He's sort of a 'post-modern defender' - chops and loops on both wings. With Inverted.

1/16th at 2016 US Open (1:39:00 mark - forum does not recognize timestamp tag for Youtube):

Can't believe I never started one.

In your first post update his equipment:

Rubbers: Yasaka Mark V HPS ...both sides. Max I believe.

Takashima H3 blade.

That last opponent I truly truly despise the tactics he used to slow down the game, dodgy serves hiding the ball inside the palm, covering part of the toss, just being obnoxious which really worked out very well for him. I see this so very often in games where the less talented brilliant tactical player resorts to mindgames and tricks just short of cheating to win. :punch:

  Since its all in the past I should just enjoy watching the match and learning from it :D

Edit: Sorry I get carried away when I watch exciting stuff :D

Haha, that last opponent was only one of the best defenders in the world. Former CNT member.

Figures ! He had the perfect response to break Aida's game and win comfortably ! But I really really wanted to see more of Aida play the style of defense combined with the loop-attack. It was sooo graceful and beautiful to watch :-D

 Good stuff to watch in the new year

According to the table tennis magazine in sweden, Aida is going to be playing for a swedish club in the second highest division next season. My club has a team that got promoted to that division, so I really want to see him vs the best players in my club.

I found two more videos of Aida playing that I don't think are on youtube, so I decided to upload them

The point at 4:32 in this video is quite good

He is so amazing, I think that he's one of the most skilled players I've seen...just a tough road to sled using double inverted for defense. but he attacks so well..

He was the reason I gave double inverted chopping a serious look...and may still someday.
