If you've got a camera or phone, take a few pics and post them please? It's always good to see picture of other clubs. ;)

I'll check those places out mentioned above. Having fun playing here.
Need to get new TT shoes so probably hit up TAK9. same some shoes on there I like.

I was wondering about the tournament you mentioned above. I have no problem making it up to Seoul. I'd love to play one here.
Can they use my USATT rating to get me placed in some classes?

When you go to a Korean club to become your club, you pay around 60,000 or 70,000 Won for monthly membership unlimited play. if you want lessons, you bundle your club membership with lessons. Many clubs charge 130,000-140,000 for one month of club membership with 2 each 20 minute lessons. You pay more for longer and more frequent lessons. Prices vary by 10,000 to 20,000 per club, but overall, it is very inexpensive.

You can also have your club manager order TT equipment for you if you do not want to go online and buy and ship it to where you are. Many Koreans are old school and just tell coach what the want, she orders it, and it is in the club a couple days later, sometimes one day later. Everyone kept hitting me up in Korea as I could get some discount. Koreans like discounts a lot.

I know it's bad form to reopen old chats but i just moved here permanently. Found home in Ingeydong near east entrance of KBS. Wondering if the info here is still good. Specifically lookibg for places to play on evenings or weekends near me. Could travel on weekends. No car yet so public transport for now.

You don't need a car there. Check your message you asked to Korea Foreign TTA. I replied. Lots of possibility. You can also copy paste 탁구 to map.naver.com

Never bad to ask what you are asking. How did we turn up so high on search results?

Holy cow...what a night. Well we lost the Ingyedong place. Apparently the realtor forgot to mention that we were Waygooks to the owner. When they came to sign they were like...nope, not going to do the hassle of registration for foreigner and we don't want the weird length of contract..I leave Dec 2019.
We had a backup place where the apartment was really nice just location kinda stinks...Dongtan 2. Close to work but far from everything else. So we nabbed that place. I have to find the old club I visited in Dongtan...it was pretty nice. D2 is really close to SRT and KTX, busses in to Seoul and Gangnam are fairly close but need a transfer. I'll certainly get a car here...

I was searching Suwon table tennis clubs. My old post popped up and I read it and was like whoa...That is me. Google had saved my login info as I'm on a different computer. I found 5 taggu places in Dongtan but nothing in Dongtan 2 unfortunately.

map.naver.com shows 5 clubs within 1-1.5 miles away.

Down south another few miles many more including "National Player" TTC

Up north in Suweon many more too.

Take another look at map.naver.com copy paste takku in Korean 탁구

You could also do the same search on your smart phone with google maps (less hits) or also naver.

Kim Jung Hoon TTC is in Yong In, an ex pro player who can really cacth your mistakes instantly, but you gotta learn Korean.

If you like pips, legendary Pips coach Yoo DH coaches at Yong-In TTC, one of the few specialty Pips coaches around.

I did find many in Dongtan 1...10 min bus ride over. Gotta find the place I played last time I was here. She only charged me 4man a month.

I would definitely like to train whilst here. I am only 3rd at home in our company. I need to get better.
My Korean is horrid. I know about 50 words, no sentences. I got my numbers. My wife's Korean is legit maybe she would come translate?
She would probably charge me her translate fee. :D

I'm Not much for pips. Inverted, defensive blocker with a pretty good backhand. :P
