Hi all. As i've changed my defense setup to clipper with sp fh and inverted bh (and i really love it), i desired to renew fh rubber on my old bat with sp forehand also. Not for regular play but...to stay true sp playah! :))
So i have 2 questions:
1. Would donic defplay be good enough for sp fh rubber?
2. What sp would be suitable for these blade?
Any ideas are welcome. :)

I am a big fan of the traditional Chinese pips - 802, 651, 652 etc. Any of these would be excellent.

If you want something more modern, the Spinlord Waran or Degu have a lot of spin and feeling, and are much quicker.

Another tried and tested option is TSP Spectol or Donic Baxster.

Thanks for your answer, but it's a generel one.
Eg:
- what sp shold I try, guyz?
- <your answer>

And I really like your answer. I've already tried or ordered to try almost all of them. But on my clipper, not defplay.
And now i ask: would any of existing sp play good enough on defplay or it would be a pain? :)

Thank you. :)

Ps: i've used to play 802, 802-40 and spectol on defplay senso on bh, for choping...

- defplay great for blocking and chopping, but may too slow for driving.

- before I can answer,
do you block 80 % and goes driving for kill, or
Press the opponent non stop Fukuhara style?

BeGo, I should clarify: now I use stiga clipper cr with 802-40 2.0 on fh and yinhe moon speed soft max on bh. I instantly use fh drive, bh loop&drives to press opponent. Blocks? Sure i use them when needed.
But as for my style with defplay - I don't know. :)
It would be recreational setup, for chopping game with 802/spectol 1,5mm.

WARAN is good-you can buy second hand on e bay to try first-ive tried thicker versions on a defplay before and they are fine.

Then, I am afraid defplay shall be too slow for driving for you. It also too rigid for looping.

Something for Samsonov style would be great.

For pips, perfect, so I would not give another recs. ;)
