Hi Amir, hi guys.
What do you think about thick balsa core blades?
Giving their stiffness and the fact they are springy and direct, how they will perform, from your point of view, with a slick anti on?

hi! Balsa blades are horrible for Slick anti reversal...ist the "springy" nature, that alters the spin by reducing it. you will want a very hard and stiff blade.

Thank you Amir.
I will also want a full wood blade or wood + carbon will work fine?
Correct me if im wrong: at this point i think a 7-ply wood will be better than a 5-ply one, right?

uploaded a video from earlier this year from the 2.cnd national league, playing against the nr.6 of the ranklist..horrible humidity caused some bad reversal and high balltrajectory at times, but nice points at the end ;)

Hey Amir, question. You mentioned the humidity. I live in a very humid place and 4 of the 5 clubs in my area are notorious for not having AC on for much of the summer. So....turns in to a swamp. I play LPs, but am considering an ANTI game. Would this be a problem for me?

I've been picking Def Attack's brain as well, but I'm on the verge of buying transformer and putting it on a Carbon OFF- blade, or getting a Megablock and Revolution blade setup I see on Ebay.

But if this is a constant issue, I might not do that.

Wow! Compliments Amir!
And welcome "diabolic"... but... a little consideration: that ittf player underestimate, like a noob, the reversal effect (and you).
He played without brain and only with power: he forgot that table tennis need a very important component by strategy.
Big error to think... "I'm a prof and I can win just with my power!"
I'm so happy for you Amir!!!

Great playing Amir! You use your serves really well! He was always a step behind and never had a chance to establish his own rythm and game pattern. In the last set he handled your anti-serves better and he starter to roll the ball better but then you could use the anti for fast attacks to his far FH, very good. He must have been very frustrated :).

Hi Japsican - after moving to San Antonio TX from San Francisco CA, I had the same humidity issue as you. I tried many different things to deal with it, because the glanti play differently under different conditions. In addition, my opponents here tend to be hitters and not loopers. All in all, I changed to LP after a long run with Transformer, Mega-Block, ABS, and even Rhino.

If you can dynamically adapt to the different environmental conditions I believe glanti is a powerful weapon. If you're less capable of quickly changing (like me) then a less dangerous surface like an easy-to-play LP may be more suitable.

I dearly miss heavy spin-reversal though.
