Blade: Don Ovtcharov carbospeed
FH: bluefire M1 2mm
BH: bluefire M1 2mm
Hi. I am interested in fast blades. I currently use donic ovtcharov carbospeed with bluefire M1 2mm. However I have damaged it a bit. They are out of stock at the moment and am struggling to decide on another blade. Needs to be solid feel, stiff, fast. Considering galaxy T1s , Xiom axelo . Any suggestions comments would be appreciated. I don't like light blades. Thanks

The Galaxy T1 & Xiom Axelo are two of the fastest blades on the market.

Off course, they poor on looping. They are made to kill the ball and the opponent as soon as possible. ;)

Sardius doesn't qualify?

(I remember the Sardius being the butt of jokes back around 1998-99, when I was last active.)

I always thought those Tamca 5000 blades were the epitomy of fast, too.. Not that I ever owned one.

What about the Butterfly Power 7FL blade?? They have stamped the fastest rating on the blade

Also is anyone currently using the T-1. Is it a good blade? Is it anything like the butterfly schlager carbon?

Thanks

For speed I'd love to try out the Stiga Carbonado 290. I hear it's a lot faster than the 190 (which I briefly tried out and liked).

Try this combo...

Vistas Quartet Speed 1

Stiga Genesis black - for grip and extra spin

Gewo Nanoflex red - for speed and lower trajectory.

Blade is insanely fast and has a really nice feel. Sort of holds the ball a bit before catapulting it.

http://www.tabletennisdb.com/blade/vict ... speed.html

If you want a slower but still off plus blade - the Butterfly Photino is by far the best blade I've ever used for pure feel.

Produces a more loopy trajectory by far though. Swing hard and it has many gears.

Hi,

I have a Galaxy T-1s which I use occasionally just for fun. It measures 7.3mm which makes it slightly less than the Schlager carbon (by published stats). Very stiff and fast, high consistency surface with the largest sweetspot of any blade I've tried. Combined with Adidas Tenzone the setup to too fast to loop consistently but matches well with short pips.
