Terrific nail-biter of a match here... I won't announce the winner for those wanting to see it!

PLASTIC IS A PROBLEM..

Rasanter H37* is admittedly the best suited rubber to play the plastic ball.

Playing accurate placement with a plastic ball is a true problem. Rasanter is the best answer to the problem.
China KTL RUBBER, SOFT SPONGE will do to play with plastic ball as well.

Tenergy Butterfly is a wrong stuff to play with plastic. :(

Interesting. Apparently T2 isn't the only competition that doesn't use the deuce. At least they've got a centerline here... are there doubles matches?

Why exactly do you bring this up in Manika Batra's thread?????? Weird, as always.

Yes, there are doubles matches in UTT, but only mixed doubles AFAICS. It's an interesting league, with half the players in every team being from the host country, India. Matches are often much closer than world rankings would suggest. Although, T2 has the bigger guns in general, except for Wu Yang who is in both, and has not lost a single game in UTT yet.

Edited for brain freeze. And also for the fact that Wu Yang has since lost a match.

Manika doing some work against a few of the big guns! She's one of the few indian players actually managing to defeat the foreigners in the UTT.

She also took a game off Han Ying and was actually one point away from winning the match 2-1.

World rank #104 or whatever Manika is, nearly beat #9 -- would have made a nice story for the tournament!

She's great. My favorite player to watch (male or female).

They actually had it on the big screen TV in the lounge of the hotel I stayed at last week. No deuce, I noticed. Wonder what other similarities there are with T2. And who else uses such rules.. China Super League?
