Looking at some German websites it costs €35. If it performs the same as H3 provincial boosted it can be a game changer.

But we will wait and see if it can outlast H3. We all know H3 can last a looooong time.

I have ordered a sheet - will report back on impressions vs Tenergy 05FX once I get it and try it out

so... the rubber arrived. Uncut, the rubber weighs 70g (heavier than the blade I will be putting it on!), versus 60g for the Rakza 7 Soft that will go on the backhand. Both are max rubbers

Quality of both rubber surface and sponge appear very good (as I would expect). The sponge is a lot denser than for example Tenergy 05.

JGT - the rubber has a plastic lining, and also has a rubber protection sheet, which I always appreciate.

I have glued up on a Hallmark Ultra balsa blade, which I am using at the moment as my main bat with Tenergy 05FX and Rakza 7 soft. So, I am expecting the sponge hardness to feel significantly different, but am interested to see how JGT performs. Will be tested over this weekend! :D

The plastic sheet attached is unusual for ESN rubbers, Victas 401 does not have this. Does it clearly say, on the rubber or cover, that it's made in Germany?

Haggisv, have a look at the cover picture - "Made in Germany"! I will check if the rubber says it as well tonight

so.. I have had a couple of hits with the JGT, and results are semi as I expected. Every time I play with a Chinese rubber, coming from playing with Tenergy 05 FX, it feels dead, and then after 20 minutes or so, I start to appreciate it.

Note that it is on a balsa blade, which changes how it would compare say to an all-wood blade.

Looping near the table, particularly brush looping, is very easy, nice and spinny. Serves are shorter and slightly spinnier than the Tenergy - I need to focus more when serving to keep the Tenergy serves as short. Short drops fall a lot shorter with JGT - sometimes too short, I was struggling to switch backwards and forwards between the two blades. Blocking was easy with JGT, although didn't have the rebound of Tenergy - so both good and bad.

The sponge feels definitely faster than H3 Neo. When looping, arc is very good (i.e. quite high), with very, very good spin. Speed is I would say 80% of that of Tenergy. When I am at the table, speed seems good and adequate - when 2m away, the speed difference kicks in, I am unable to loop through opponents as easily as Tenergy. With Tenergy 05FX having so much softer a sponge, I find it easier to counter-loop with Tenergy- the ball stays on the bat so much longer, I can place the ball easier (hook or fade loop).

So, an impressive rubber, but not quite as fast as I was expecting.

I am going to take it off the balsa blade, and put it on a Timo Boll ZLC - so I can compare it to Sanwei Target National, which is a rubber I was impressed with.

Thanks PRW, sounds like I need to try this one.

Yip, worth trying - it will be interesting to know what you think of it! I don't have wide experience of Chinese rubbers, so would be nice to get your views..

good question: rather than guessing based on what I thought I remembered, I had a look when I got home. I did a video so you can see: clearly, the order of tackiness is:
H3 Neo > Sanwei Target National > Joola Golden Tango. I didn't realise the difference as widely when playing.

(the order of picking up the ball on the video is JGT, then H3 Neo, then STN)

If anyone wants the (basically unused) black Joola Golden Tango max, they can have it from $20 plus shipping from California, US. At the moment, it is on a really oversized blade, so would easily fit any normal sized blade. I paid $57.
