Medium pips are a very specialized classification of pips in the gray zone between long pips and short pips. If you want some of the disruptive effects of long pips combined with the attacking ability of short pips, these pips may be a category to consider.

Some medium pips currently on the market are:

Dr. N Diamant
TSP Millitall
Gambler Peacekeeper
Nittaku Pimplemini
Friendship 563
Friendship 563-1
Hallmark Half Long
Hallmark Panther
Milky Way Pluto
Dawei 388C-1
Kokutaku Tulpe 110
Palio WP1013
Double Fish 820A
Globe 888
Meteor 9012
DHS 874
DHS C-7
Juic Master Spin Special
Armstrong Attack 3M
Armstrong Attack 8M
Bomb King Roc

Winning NP 6 could be added to the list.

I think Friendship 799 is a medium pip.

What is a good MP rubber with sponge (1.5 mm or more) where the pips don't break easily? What are Miao Miao and other MP players using?

Globe 888 in 1.8mm is very good medium pip. I also like Palio WP1013 in 1.5mm !

Hallmark Panther
Nitaku Knuckle Do
Nittaku Super Knuckle Do

I just got done doing my first test with super knuckle... and baby! It meshed very well with my style of blocking and hitting. It does basically what the name says, and returns a usually dead ball or with slight reversal one way or the other -- you can also do active strokes to change the spin a little, but not much. Has less grip than feint long or p1-r curl for example. Much faster though. All in all I am very pleased with this baby in OX. Using it on a firewall plus... the honeymoon phase is certainly in full effect!

OK. I didn't suspect that many exist. I didn't heard that much about these MP. I look forward to discover them. I found that mp answer my problem of having the choice to vary from disturbance to "hard attack" without loosing too much control as LP tend to do. Am I right ? It is not what fukuara is doing with Armstrong 8 M ? I just bought Neubauer Agressor and the der Materialspezialist Shockwave. I'm going to open a forum on this and compare them to the Millital 11 I played for about 2 months.

Any other MP for the list ?

no never play but you can have description of the rubber at tt-maximum.com. It is slower than agressor or shockwave if you know them.

Is someone able to categorise the different MP ? Defense, all around, offense. At the table, mid-dist or far from the table?

I have tried a couple of medium pips.. some of them, I tried years ago, so my memory may not be accurate..

Friendship 563.

Medium speed, great for blocking. When blocking, it was fairly easy to manipulate the spin to either produce a dead or underspin ball. Easy to use pip. Very good for hitting (even though there are other Medium pips that are better for hitting).
It has little disturbing effect.. Ball comes fairly "normal" to the opponent..

Winning NP6

Medium fast speed. good for blocking but great for hitting. Produces a uncomfortable trajectory for the opponent. Little less control than Friendship 563 but bothers opponents more but it harder to control.

TSP Curl P2

Best of both worlds between long and medium pips. Great disturbing effect and great for hitting and blocking.. Much better than 563 and NP6 for pushing. Pushes like long pips. Control is somewhere between 563 and NP6 depending a lot on what blade you are using P2.

TSP 388C-1

Tried it for a couple of minute a few years ago.. I personally liked it the least of any of the medium pips that I've tried..
I don't recall details, just that I did not like it.. May have had high trajectory but I don't recall too much about it..
