Hey there, just wanted to see if anyone has used the XuShaoFa 25mm ITTF approved table. Seems to be similar price to the DHS T1223 22mm ITTF table, just wondering if anyone has experience with either or both and possibly compare them. Looking to get a table for home use and both of these are in my budget currently.

Regards,

D

I've played on the XuShaoFa 25mm before at a club, and it certainly plays well and it's a decent brand, but I can't comment on other aspects. I'd always choose a 25mm over a 22mm table though. DHS does make good tables too, but they tend to be more pricey and as not as good value compared to other Chinese brands.

I have the XuShaoFa 25mm non-ITTF approved version which looks visually similar. I think the main difference with the approved version is a higher density top which also makes it slightly heavier. It might also have a stronger frame and legs, although the metal dimensions are the same. It would also come with a better net. In my opinion the one I have is excellent value, and the approved one possibly even more so for just an extra $200.

Our club has 6 of them and they were used in the 2012 Australian Vets Championships. Good table and good value.

Hi all, thanks a lot for the reply. I'm going to pick one of those up based on the suggestions above. Thanks for that, makes things easy for me.

Now I'm in the market for a Robot. Not sure what to get due to the multitude of robots available at the $1000 mark...

We've got both at our club and they are both excellent tables.. The DHS T1223 is only 22mm but plays as well as any 25mm you would find and if I have the choice that's what I choose to play on at the club and given the choice, what I would purchase. Very sturdy. The XuShaoFa is good too though, except for the dodgy net that comes with it. Be aware that there are 2 versions of the 25mm so make sure you get the more expensive one (which is still cheap and great value for money).

Having a look at the K-sports website, I believe that the price order is correct in the 'get what you pay for'. The XuShaoFa more than adequate though. Note that I've got a 19mm myself and I can tell the difference between mine and the other two so can recognise when something is not quite up to scratch for competition standard.

In summary, both are great tables for the price, I don't think the T1223 is worth an extra $150 but if they were the same or similar cost, thats what I'd get.

Great, thanks for that! Apart from the dodgy net, what sets the DHS higher than the XSF in terms in quality?

I'd have to check at the club but I think the legs and wheels are just a bit bigger which is usually a good indicator of quality.

That would be absolutely amazing if you had any more information regarding a direct comparison.

My club has a t1223 but no xsf so it's any info is really very welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks for that. Appreciate your time and effort.

Sorry pt, forgot to take notice, was only there for a quick hit. Honestly, both are good though.

The DHS T1223 will end up costing $200 more once posting is included. From everyone's feedback it seems like the XSF is the way to go given the price and quality.

Thanks for everyone's input. Thanks Cobalt.

In my experience, you'll always pay a premium just for the DHS name, so I think you're making the right choice going with the XSF (which is also a decent brand).

Rang my mate Rob and asked his opinion. He's no 2 in the club, I'm about 5th out of 80. If they are both same price, he'd buy the XSF, I'm sticking with the DHS but happy with either.
