Just to say, absolutely great tournament. Special thanks to the Chinese fans, who were extremely kind to an old man (me) throughout.

Bit of a damp squib the tournament, in my opinion. Neither Germany nor Japan played their best players; England's Paul Drinkhall looked overweight and slow. China turned up and absolutely lashed everyone, barely dropping an end.

Japan vs. Korea was a highlight though. Wonder how the coach feels, having called a timeout for his player when he was 10-6 up in the deciding end of the deciding match?

Yep, that match was a thriller. I don't know what felt the coach but I'm pretty sure that Harimoto didn't feel well after losing a couple of overall match points and after that seeing a 10:6 against Japan in the decider :) But, well, Jin Ueda was the man for Japan in the quarter finals and in the semis..
And another highlight of the tournament - Liam Pitchford :) This guy played like a superman all the tournament :)

Pitchford was superb, yeah. If only Drinkhall could've been fit then England may have done a little better - Sam Walker isn't quite at the standard required to play against the likes of Japan's #1.

I like how someone pointed out the Paul Drinkhall issue other than me
Yeah what was very disappointing for me was that Filus played only 2 matches! and 1 of those were doubles, the other against the frigin Dragon himself Ma Long.
Japan vs Korea definitely the highlight and was worth it just for that.
Would have absolutely loved to have seen more Filus and wish Joo was there :P
