I'm missing "view active topics/posts", "view unanswered posts", "view your posts" at the top of the forum.

I've never known this forum to be daunting, but without those options I don't even know where everything is... It took me 5 minutes to find this post to update the slowness I've experienced is fixed.

Thank you to all that worked hard on getting this fixed!


I suspect all of these features rely on 'search' functionality, which is currently disabled. But yes, I also have no idea where my favorite threads are now. Hope it comes back eventually.

Up to speed again albeit missing a few vital options (e.g. view active topics). Hopefully 100% functionality will be reinstated once the fix is fully implemented.

I actually didn't even notice those categories "View Active topics/posts" etc. haha.

I use an RSS feed for most stuff. I guess I can go there moving forward.

Can you bring back those other options?

I have just gone through the exercise of looking at all new posts via the board index etc.

"View new posts" FTW (not the female table tennis player).

As far as I know, all the forum features should be back and working now. Please let me know if you have any trouble with anything.

The good news is that since Cloudflare is now active, the forum will run a lot faster for most people.

Just raising one question: Do you have to log-in now to see view active posts/view unaswered posts etc . Previously this wasn't the case. Server repsonse rate very good now indeed :D

Ahh yes, that's related to 'search' being disabled for 'guests' (or people not logged in). Search puts quite a strain on the server, because the database is so large, so I've temporarily disable it for 'guests', so that bots don't bring down the system. I'll give it a few days till things settle, and I'll revert it back to normal. Thanks for the reminder ;)

I'm so glad the site is up and running again... I just hope there isn't anyone unable to access the site due to the extra security measures. :( :( :(

I wouldn't know, never had problems with the speed before, but it sure as hell is running very fast now! The ping is lower, most likely because cloudflare has a server not in Australia.
