Well, can you ID the black rubber? (You can zoom in pretty far. On Windows it's Ctrl+scrollwheel in case you don't know.)
I did look for it at the ITTF rubber label page.

The link above to the match she lost at the 2008 Beijing Olympics doesn't work.
Here it is: http://my.mail.ru/mail/stragnnik/video/10118/10529.html

It shows how she handled what looked like a physically overwhelming opponent.

I kinda regret to tell you this, but at least in 2012 I believe the red rubber was either Tenergy or Spinart. I believe it was Tenergy. Maybe someone here can judge which one by how it flies.
I hope someone will identify the black one, above. Thanks.

I believe it's 388D-1 OX. Although it takes some imagination to see it there's nothing else in the rubber label list any closer, and there's more than one claim for 388D-1 in Chinese language sources.

I read somewhere that she was playing tsp p&h on her BH. I played that lp and it is very good at attcking and blocking.

Now playing it in red.
Can't quite prove it's 388D-1 OX. Can prove that it is *not* various other rubbers.

Dawei or Bomb Talent? as the design at the base of the rubber sheet are very similar on both :?:

Thanks for helping!
I'm not sure.
That thing that looks round isn't centered in the cutout, and might just be smudges as in the black one above.

It was just a glancing observation by the width at the base (broader in BT than Dawei). Hard to tell for sure from the photos. Thanks for checking further.

Yes. It can't be 388D-1 for that reason.
Measuring images on my monitor and doing the math, I get a height for that label area equal to BT, and I doubt anyone can find anything closer, looking at the below image, which is enhanced a little. (For good images of BT see Google Images.)
Funny, BT is much softer and slicker than PH (according to martinspin), but the appearance of her shots is about the same as always. I think the same is true for Ni Xialian, who also doesn't seem to be using PH anymore (if she ever did, I don't know).
