This is specific to low grip reversal pips like Dtecs OX.
I would really like to ask if chopping from 2-4-6-8 FT from table, does a faster swing or more aggressive wrist reverse more spin.
I put all those distances because I would like to know if there are any differences depending on the distance.

Last night I done a little test but not too extensive, I will try again next session to be sure. But to be honest in my findings me and my partner and the spin on the floor showed me that there was no difference from a relaxed chop (like I do most of the time) compared to an aggressive one. It was just about contact point.

But I am not a good player and perhaps I just cannot unlock the true potential (if there is more).

Thoughts?

With the slick pips it doesn't matter a whole lot. Just like when trying to serve using them. You can only put so much on, to a point where swinging really hard wont have a huge change on the spin.

Obviously the harder you chop the more spin will be imparted, but with slick pips it just may not be THAT much more. Though some pips are more flexible and softer etc. So even though they are slicker, the bending of the pips can add more spin.

Yes I would agree with that. You need to swing at least as fast as the ball spins, or you won't get as much spin, nor will you get the control that LPs offer.

Chop blocking will give consistent spin at those distances with the same stroke.

As a former lp ox chopper - who has tried many lp ox - the best for me is BOMB TALENT OX.
Cheap and higly effective for dangerous chopping.
Another is the dawei 388d-1 ox which is grippier.
Edit: watch markus grothe, he is a high level dtechs ox chopper. His way to chop with ox is great!
