i have been a dr n boomerang player for a few years now and like many have been looking for an replacement with the frictionless ban aproaching, having tried many different rubber types in my search,eg butterfly feint, tsp combi, daiwa , and many others i came across ck531a ,well i found the holy grail ,hardly any ajustment required to swap over i could go from the dr to ck531a and back again with out any great trouble.
i have found that it returns spin serves with ease it blocks topspin loops and drives with little trouble there is some reversal but not as much as the dr
ive been using it for about 2 weeks and will report more as i continue to use this rubber

Glad to see more and more people are now trying the palio ck531a. Can't recommend it enough to people changing from superblock.

i bought a sheet from eacheng

In 1.1 or 1.2 mm, it was too fast for me, but i reckon the one you are using is better.

I found the pip too be similar to 755.

The 755 spin reversal is no bad for a grippy pip, but it's certainly not a slow pip...

CK531A (OX) provides an excellent control. It is a good rubber for blocking and chopping. High balls can be attacked with it.

Got this in the mail today. Frankly, it's not bad at all. I glued it in OX on a Toni Hold White Spot and hit it for a bit against the robot. It's good for hitting and blocking and has good control. A little bit of spin-reversal against topspin, but not enough to rely on as a weapon. Could hit drop shots although I didn't try too many of these (more interested chop blocks and hitting these days). Gotta say the CK531A is pretty good for attacking underspin, too.

Anyway, the price is right and for me the Palio CK531A is right in the game along with Insider, SavigaV and Neptune. At this point, I can't decide which of the four I like better, maybe the Palio which has surpassed all expectations.

I'll really have to systematically compare the four (plus probably a few more) point by point to decide which is best for my revised, more active and aggressive style game that I'm still trying to figure out (just a little over six weeks left to do it).

And just to add to the general confusion, Phoenix is on the scene now, plus I ordered Dr. N. Monster Classic during a weak moment. What to do?

From the rubbers you mentioned I have tried the neptune and dawei388D -1(very similar to saviga) and i prefer CK531A. It's very well balanced I think(spin reversal, control, block, chop, attack) and seems to be most disturbing to opponents.

As the sheet of Palio CK531A I was using started losing pips (I've been experimenting on the sheet with cockpit spray) I stuck a new sheet of palio to my aurora blade. All previous sheets i used came with sponge(which i removed), the sheet i used this time came without sponge. My first impression is that the topsheets are not the same. The one that came without sponge originally seems to be a bit faster. Not 100% sure though, gonna try it in practice tonight.

use the new armorall, it is water based and doesn't stretch the rubber

I doubt you will get an answer mozzy. I think Elvis left the building (read forum) quite some time ago I think. Haven't seen hom post in months and months.

I have the palio lp on a T-8 in Ox as you might have seen in another thread. I agree with what Elvis wrote. Good rubber for hitting. Might be a while before I get much chance to do more with it. I really need a training partner lol.

OX has good control, chop block is lethal, good attacks, good for blocks. IMO try this pip before anything else if you are a blocker and are looking for an ox rubber. it is so cheap and combines many classic qualities in spin manipulation
