Hi guys! Have any of you guys tested butterfly feint long 2 0.5 thickness? If not, what do you know about it? How does it perform regarding celluloid and poly balls? Finally, would the butterfly Petr Korbel blade be a good matchup with feint long 2?

hey maddrag

I'm not really happy with the division in short, medium and long pips. So I tried another division:

1 = aspect ratio 0.45 - 0.50
2 = aspect ratio 0.51 - 0.74
3 = aspect ratio 0.75 - 0.99
4 = aspect ratio 1.00 - max

1 = short
2 = medium short
3 = medium long
4 = long

what pips are medium short?

Never tried Palio or Hellfire, but having used both Dornenglanz and GD Talon on the same blade, I found Talon to have more spin reversal on passive blocks.

I would have to respectfully disagree with that. I used Talon for quite some time and DG for longer. Talon has more reversal out of the package, but after a couple of weeks, DG can't be matched on either Passive or Chop blocking. Only Dtecs might have more passive reversal, but DG still is king of the chop block.

i would dtecs less reversal
big soft pimples killed spin more easly and with hits / pushes u give no spin balls (thats why i changed to dg)
but dtecs has this random effect.. once its no spin once its nice spin reversal which confuses opponents

anyway i found that on higher level spin reversal is much better than distruption (no spin/reversal effect with dtecs)
look other good ox pips players
liu song
fabian akerstorm
sun jian fei
gustaf erikson
all of them uses spin reversal pips with flat top of the pip :)

Can you name what they use at all please?

Hi all! I'm a new entry in the forum...
Is there an updating of the great work of Martin?
I'm very interested in knowing the slowest and with the most control among all the pips-out 0X at the moment.
I'm not interested in the other features, as disturbing or spin, but only in control and slowness.
Could you please help me? many thanks!!

Look at the beginning of this topic and you will find a good summary. For the control you have to look the more grippy pips. For the speed, even if different rubber has different speed. The thickness of the sponge play an enormous factor for speed. High thickness play higher speed. So.grippy offensive pips with thick sponge will give you what you want. You didn't say if its lp,mp or sp you are looking for. The list you have cover the mp and lp. Few sp.

In OX, Spinlord Stachelfeuer is very, very slow -one of the slowest,if not the slowest of all .

This link might help you : https://spinlord-tt.de/products/stachelfeuer/

sorry, I meant 0X.
I have problems with the reception of the service: in this case I think it is better a low grip of the pips out 0X...do you agree?

I think it depends a bit on the stroke. I find that a grippy pimple can have less control when receiving serve and on other passive strokes but more control when hitting and chopping.

Ps..I find P3aR as slow as Stachelfauer and better at absorbing speed but much is dependent on the blade which has a big influence with OX.

P3@R is slow and has low grip.
388D-1 is slow with medium grip.
Stachelfeuer is slow with medium to high grip.
Feint 3 is slow and has high grip.

Easy P is slighty faster and grippyier then 388d-1.

As mentioned previously low grip pips have better control with serve receive and passive blocking, whereas high grip pips have better control with hitting and chopping. There are always compromises.

All Ox Long pips are also highly blade dependent.
